  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

April shipping update

He's a Scarlet-W order.
 
nice that there is allocations on a monday, i thought it was weird that it was just every thursday.
though scarlet pkgs going out last week and this week but no ravens at all, that we know of.

He wasn't allocated on Monday. He was allocated last week for his Scarlet. He got a shipping notification today.
 
Rob would have gotten his notification when I did last week if he got his shipping notification. My package is being shipped today as well. It takes a few days to get payment approval and do final QC etc before they ship. As well a few accessories that I added on to the package are back ordered another week or so, lemo B to be exact. So these are shipping when ready.

So... we haven't made it past 9/24 time stamps at this point? Ouch... Nothing against Red, I know they have their work cut out for them. But just provides greater clarity to the crush of orders they got. I have a 9/29 stamp and thought I'd be sitting with camera in-hand by now. Naive much? :)

we had someone comment in the "Scarlet-W has begun" thread that got allocated on 3/31 who had a timeframe of September 25, 2015 02:18, so i believe its crossed over to the next day already.

i just realized this is the last thursday they could allocate that would possibly be able to ship the cameras before NAB.
 
Yeah, I'm of little faith at this point. Already making plans to trade a bunch of days this month with fellow Red users in the area since I can't keep pushing back a bunch of projects to May(?)-June for an announcement day SW brain. If the schedules work out it's not all a bad thing though, as I'll be making more connections in something happens to my camera in the future.

On an unrelated note my i/o Base expander and universal handle arrived today, both smaller than expected (in a good way!)

I agree I pushed off several projects till May and June but the way this is looking scares me a bit so I will have to make other arrangements myself.
 
Hi guys,

Sorry if this was already responded... But I was wondering how long it takes to get a Raven camera if I buy one today from RED UK store? In the website there´s no info on that. Is there any way to know how long is the queue and estimates?

No way to estimate. But seeing as how they just made it past the first few hours of Scarlet-W time stamps and that shipped 1 month before Raven, I would not expect a new Raven for a good few months, maybe more as they have to get S-W out first, and there was mention that there are considerably more Ravens than S-W.

Plan for the worst and DON'T hope for the best, or you will be letdown. It's going to be a good wait.

none of us really know for sure, even with updates from red it's impossible to tell, but im pretty sure with great certainty that if you ordered a scarelt-w right now, it's NOT likely you will have it within a month…but you never know and it doesnt hurt to put down a deposit as soon as possible since it's completely refundable.
you might have better luck jumping on a used epic dragon right after nab, getting use of it for your project and then selling it when your scarlet comes in.

also, if you put a deposit down, and get a bombsquad rep, there is someone recently that said they were actually able to pick it from a local dealer that their bombsquad recommended and i think set up the deal, though they had a late time stamp i think they are getting it very soon if it hasnt happened already. i was considering calling that local dealer!
