ProAm makes a 7" hood. The velco strips that come with it are useless. I had a better quality roll of it and cut my own strips. All good now.

I was using it in Flip mode for a shoot and noticed that all the footage is also flipped. Easily correctable in Redcine, but is there a way to flip the monitor without the Meta Data flipping the footage?

I like the idea of having the option to keep meta data flipped or not. For gimbal users, what's interesting about this feature is now you can operate in invert-mode while monitoring a correct image AND having a correct image in post...

i.e. upside-down RED, flipped image through the LCD, flipped image in the R3D.

After a few days with this display and in - 20 windchills, I have to say AWESOME!!!

Now I had to expand my bag a bit for run and gun but is so worth it.

A future request for RED.

Can you make something similar to the F&V MeticaFM 7 hood/folding protector?

I think Sony had the same idea and would make a great screen protector when doing run and gun.

Can someone from Red tell us what's happening at the moment with touch orders?

I also ordered just over a week ago and was hoping for a December delivery along with
my Dragon X... at least Red Europe said it was likely to be this month now they're back tracking
saying they have no idea if they will get any in this December or even if they do they will be
able to cater to everyone's orders... If this is an early spring delivery it's going to severely
screw me over.

I think I got lucky cause I ordered mine mid Oct and got it 5 weeks later.
