48 fps is still 2 frames to low! But I dont know anyway wich red camera will be my next. But i know it will never be 48fps so something higher up. Not sure about the 8k just yet. I kind of like s35. Bought the sony a7r ii to test the feel of full frame but im always enjoying the epic much more.

OK... so the bad news is we just cant give you 50fps for free... but the good news is that we can squeak out 50fps at the expense of one tick of compression, so 50FPS @9:1

Hopefully that gets you close enough to what you need... will update all the specs accordingly.

After the sprint-yet-a-marathon to get SCARLET-W announced before NAB for Jarred, I kicked a lot of team out today a touch early so expect tech specs on RED.com and other materials to reflect the update Monday.

strangely enough i get inquiries for the c300m2 at about 6:1 over RED or any other camera. While the c300 might not be best camera on the market, producers love the shit out of it. And its a camera that will probably make its money back faster than any other camera out right now. That being said, Im much more excited to shoot on RED than that damn c300

I just sold my RED Epic Dragon and was fully prepared to diversify my camera set up.

DJI Zenmuse X5R, Sony A7s for low light, and a 35mm Arriflex 435 ES. Seemed like a good trade off. Use the extra cash for some lenses and lighting...

Is it possible to apply this type of method to Weapon to get 100fps at 5k HD instead of 96fps?

actually that's the one thing i dont understand but i think the specs just arent updated, scarlet and raven are supposed to be the same frame rates and compression under 4.5k, but i see the last spec is 240 for raven and 300 for scarlet ???

jordan, they are the same at 4K and under, yes. You may be seeing one at full sensor frame and one at 2.4:1.

Somewhere earlier in this thread I seem to recall Brent warning someone to make sure NOT to initiate a transfer of ownership on their Scarlet Dragon before the transaction was completed on their Scarlet-W.

Not as long as the new transfer of ownership takes place after the Scarlet-W ships. from what i took from it
