  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Horizontal SMEAR is virtually all gone on Weapon. (at least in this test)

BTW on a related/unrelated side note here is a nice example of the advancements in Weapon doing a better job with those IR orbs etc if you look around the old dudes hair.

Bob, once we have quantities built up, SCARLET and EPIC will ship with STD OLPF by default. WEAPON, you will be able to choose.

Did we also mention that forged WEAPON orders will get all three OLPF offerings? STH, LLO, and STD at no additional charge? If you already took delivery of forged, you will get it as we start rolling out deliveries…

The magenta orbs flaring off the light source? Yes, on EPIC/SCARLET DRAGON, you will see that same reduction as you saw on STH. And, note, on LLO with WEAPON, also a big improvement on that front.

Heh. Well these are certainly the tests I was planning on doing, though Sean looks rather "natural" in the Zodiac set at RSH.

Great examples and thanks for including the "white board" there. That tells a lot of the story. Very interesting improvements from Epic to Weapon Dragon here. It looks like there's been very noticeable visual upgrades when it comes to the CMOS Smear/Bleed/Streak, even pushing these jpgs up 3 stops shows the significant improvement. Also looks like color has been tweaked just a hair.

The halation around overexposed areas has a bit more of an "angelic purity" to it. Nice work to all who made that happen.

This is important info. Based on what we can evaluate from the GIOSCOPE data here there are a couple of very important things to point out.

1. This clearly shows the 1/2 stop improvement in shadow noise and detail when comparing Epic Dragon and Weapon Dragon.
2. Also, it appears that the Standard OLPF is somewhere around .5-.6 stops cleaner than the Skin Tone Highlight OLPF. (educated guess as I'm not running a diff or average on these jpgs)
 
Our Epic Dragon OLPF's will work in Dragon right? So we don't have to purchase new OLPF's when we do the Weapon upgrade?
 
Will this be available as a choice when we get our WEAPONS shipped? like we had a choice between LLO and STH when our Dragonized Epics shipped? very ccol!
