  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Adobe CS6...

Me too. First piece of software I purchased in my teenage years was Photoshop. I wrote them a letter about how happy I was I could paint on the computer.

I love Adobe....

Me too. But I will love them more when they get RC3/RG3, Alchemy capabilities. I know it is difficult for a multi-format software to cater to each individual platform, and that's why I cut them some slack on coming up to speed. The important thing is that RCX Pro gives us the pipeline to integrate the new stuff Red comes out with into apps like Adobe until they can incorporate it into their software.

Yes, but as I mentioned in another thread, it's 8 bits.
8 bits is for the birds...

8 bits? I can select 16bits/32bits on the mode tab. This is not influencing the edit?

Photoshop looks amazing, and I can really see the possibilities of this for CC and manipulation! One thing missing is prores 4K 444 export as well as 25P, and 4K and 5K export options.

Can't wait for the full production CS6 relesase. Hopefuly they hit their target of April/ May.

how comes adobe, a third party software can playback R3D's faster than Red CineX? Can't someone at RED write software plug in to GPU-Power? ATI and NVIDIA? that would be awesome.

I wonder if CS6 Bridge will support R3D thumbnail or preview viewing? Would be nice...

With PR, AE, LR and now PS supporting R3D I would be suprised if Bridge didn't follow suit... Unless Adobe is finally moving away from Bridge entirely. I use LR and find Bridge to be almost completely redundant.

Do you not use Lightroom, Tom?

Let's hope Bridge is abandoned entirely. Thumbnail browsing should be integrated into each product, not a bloated separate application.

Good beginning, but at 8 bits it is good just to look at it.

I'll stick to RCX.

The only good thing is that now I can send R3D pictures or clips to other people in the RAW format and they will not ask me sarcastically “so how to open this thing”

So now I need RCX for iPad :-)

Does "tagging" work with the side-handle recording button so it's possible to export all tagged frames and maybe scrub around each "tag" (like it was intended to work)?

Pretty good beginning.

Some shots from yesterday...
