  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A new chapter... or my last one?

Yeah, wasn't doing so well myself, so I just posted without reading everything. Listen to Elsie he knows a bit.

Sorry to hear that Wayne, hope you get better soon!

What I posted in reply to Elsie, was that I indeed have been doing research on the net for over 7 years now, yet I did PM him my email as I always welcome any one's wiling to help.

In all honesty I would really not know were to start, and would only end up with hours upon hours of material, with which I wouldn't know what to do with.

Also I do not think that many would enjoy seen some of the hospital shit I have been going thru, and many times they would not allow filming any ways.

But having said that, I do believe I had enough of it and will stop all together letting them continue sly poke on me, and they can now go suck blood some were else... ;)

The film about my story, will indeed represent almost to the letter all that has happened form childhood till present, yet I understand how filming some actual life clips of what I am doing and how I am going about it, could possibly be interesting or of benefit to some one, but to how many really?

Most likely way to few to be really worth any effort I think, unless I am completely wrong, and starting a what? Life Blog? Clipping all together later on, as a journal? Or as real life BTS material of the dealing with or the how I got there?

Just not sure how to go about it... :)

You're fiercely positive attitude is an inspiration Ketch. Keep on fighting!

Thanks Dylan!! Count on it!!

I do have not learned how to Edit yet... :)

And do you really think any one would be interested to see what I do on a regular basis??

Get up, take my meds, eat something, go walk for an hour, eat something, work out, write, visit RU, show the market, cook launch, back to more writing at local cafe some were, come back home, work out, go for walk for an other hour, then prep dinner, then watch a movie or write some more.

This are my typical days, when I do not go to he hospital, which I intend not to any mrs any ways, at list not till I get back to a country with a better hospitals like the USA if I can get insurance that is, which will be very difficult any ways.

Warmest wishes ketch.

My mother has an immuno problem as well. She has been on immuno suppressants for 35 years. 10 knee surgeries, 3 complete replacements, a full femur and tibia graft, and no real joints to speak of left.

That said her spirit is stronger than ever. And recently through hard work rode a bicycle fr the first time in 30 years.

Your frame of mind is the correct one. If you roll over and give up, you'll receive only failure. If you fight screaming, kicking, biting and clutching on, you can overcome a lot.

I know you've had it tough, but I think you are tougher.

Get well my friend. Drink life.

Thanks Timur!!

Sorry to hear about your mom situation, yet happy to hear She is strong and positive.

Not having any Immune system at all, puts you thru incredible obstacles in life on daily basis, and am truly sorry for any one that has to go thru the same thing, because I know how crippling in life it can be!!

Ha ha, "drink lie" I like that one... I might use it... :)

You are living with purpose! That's the best F-you to all hardships, whether external or internal. Keep fighting the good fight!

That Ducati is fierce! One day, when I re-shift some focus from one set of toys to another, I'm gonna get one. I rode obsessively in my 20's, still have the bikes, all 4 of em, but lately have been so focused on work and camera related stuff that I have not had a fun ride in years, bikes got a nice layer of dust on em, I know shameful! Well, that did it! You just inspired me to dust off the old Beemer and get her registered here in TX, and take her out for a spin! Thanks for the reminder!

Safe riding and keep to your purpose Ketch, in helping yourself get through the difficulties, you will find it helps others too!

Ketch, hit Google and wikipedia to find groups that are effectively dealing with it feeding in the ingredients they use to refine your search, this should lead you to specialist information sites that gave collected credible information in one spot without you spending years on it yourself. Still going take a while.

If you look through the Wikipedia article on your conditions, you often find a few link sections down towards the bottom (apart from in article reference links) that link to prime information sources. I think there are often a lot of professionals editing specialist articles.

Look up on YouTube 73 year old vegan, don't know if it us true, but if it us that is helpful. A book called How to cure tough decay, is also useful for bone building. A lot of stuff woks better if eaten in the right combinations. Calcium carbonate and milk for example is poorly absorbed and goes to the wring spot, but calcium itself requires other cofactors to absorb better. unless your digestion absorption or other is compromised, rich soil (volcanic etc,) grown foods are often better than tablets.

Any forums or sites or Wikipedia articles that talk purely medical are likely to be too limited. Medicine relies on itself proving something that has always worked, and usually sellable medications, lots and lots of unhealthy bias, and they do it wring a fair bit. This means that most nutrient based solutions that work are poorly understood or researched for years and years before they begrudgingly accept the evidence.

Avoid the catch 22, some things work but cause long term problems, or only work as temporary boosters in natural medicine. Some things appear to work because they boost how good you feel, some things work for another person but not for you. I think it might be possible the fresh vegetable/veg juices anti cancer diet from Germany might have only have worked for certain people for example because certain people do better eating such things (there is a physiological group of people that is commonly like this), purely conjecture on my part. These are the sorts of traps, and hype surrounding them.

I would probably be dead by now if I kept listening to me doctor years ago, who thought everything was old age, but not like the sickly 76 year old I used to get. Now I can get up to a realistic thousand times better, not 1000% but actual 1000 times, and most of the time I am physically between 10-100 times better. Doctors are not specialists and only know a smidgen of what is out there, medical specialists are not broad health specialists, and outside their speciality know only a drop. and what is known in medical science on a subject might be a small fraction if what is to be known. It is a recipe for arrogant disaster. So it can pay to look around for the most effective information as multiple opinions.

www.livestrong.com tends to be a good source for lots of articles, too many to sort through in a search sometimes. Despite everything, the site is pretty good.

Wish you the best with this Ketch.

Very well stated.

A motorcycle is a wonderful form of self-treatment, I highly recommend it. Totally agree with your assessment too. Better to slide across the finish line beaten up and on fire than to ride out one's last days in a nursing home always having played safe, wishing you'd lived a life.

I can see you in a winged suit doing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2xmAWS4akE

Hmm,

Personally I'm lucky to have survived two Yamaha R1's.

300km/h and above might seem like all funny games, but now when I look back at those years I very happy I did not continue. Since you can only have so and so much luck, and when you run out of luck on bikes then it's far from fun any more. So before you go and buy a suicide bike think if its really worth it... just my advice.

I had a cousin who died riding a motorcyle. Someone in the family referred to them as Murdercycles.

Thanks Michael!! You know I will in this life and in the next!!

Yeah Ducati is one of the fiercest bikes I ever took for a ride. Safe riding will be the sonly thing I'll do, no more willis and 300+km an hour rides on Crutch rockets bikes as I used to do.

I believe it is indeed and negate one to my self for years, driving a SUV for safety and for what? Of course I'll be riding very safely and very responsibly, but I need to fill some life back in me.

Totally agree with you there Björn, and that is why I and played safe without riding bikes since my kidney transplant in 2004 when I had to let go of my R1, and rode that thing at over 100miles an hour wheel up...

No more do I have any intents of doing that, just have anise ride again, and fill some of the joys of life I let go since the Kidney Transplant.

I had a cousin who died riding a motorcyle. Someone in the family referred to them as Murdercycles.

Indeed they are deadly, and I guess that is part of the actuation, yet Cars are not that much safer either when taking in to account how many people die every day form car accidents... :(

Either way I really don't worry about it anymore, as I am already leaving a borrowed life... ;)

Yet I will do so with the outmost care of myself.

Wow, tough news Ketch.

But I'm not surprised if they have underestimated you.
I hope you keep fighting. You are an inspiration!

Sound advise Mark!!

Do not worry, while I used to be one of the very best riders in Florence, were only a hand full could keep up with me, and trained hard for the Paris/Dakar on a Yamaha Tenere 600 Super Cross, with which I give hell for years to the Florence police were they never cough me, escaping them in impossible chases up and down stair cases, including those of the Piazzale Michelangelo route, and then form that Super Cross moved to the Super Bike, or Crutch Rocket, the latest been the R1, with which I scraped both Foot rests and most of my Jeans at the knee, such low were the curves I took on regular basis... Not counting the willies at 100+ miles per hour on both bikes...

Yet, since last time I rode one was now 10 years ago, I am well aware of not been the same rider, not just for he time spent without riding, and no longer having the edge and responsiveness that you only get by riding very frequently, but also my physical conditions are not the same...

So, I only intend to ease back in, with nice rides in the city and outdoors, to enjoy that long lost freedom one can only fill riding a bike... ;)

EDIT:

I did not see the video link before...

Only smoke, that is a nasty crash buddy!! Glad you survived that one!!

My worst was when doing a willie at 100+ km which still left the marks on the asphalt in my little town, back, legs, arms, and back of head scraped for months...

Not looking forward opt any of that!!

BTW: Doc's really are mostly also pushing for me not to move back to LA, do to the extreme bad air conditions, for which I would according to them be forced to use a B reading mask, which of course I never used when there, neither do I ever use one any were really...

But a visit down to NZ, as well as the one planned for Vancouver is definitely in the plans, as I will ultimately need to decide not just based on my Dreams but also on the well being of my health, so till I get better I could be ending up shipping the Bike near you... You never know... ;)

Just me or does this seem a bit of Facebook style personal life over-sharing and not related to RED cameras at any level?
