4K WS ON SCARLET SCREEN SHOT

Your still made me curios about upgrading my Scarlet's software. So, I did the upgrade just to try it out for my upcoming video shoot, and I'm feeling this 4kws.

OK I'm mid project on a job so there's no way I'm going beta build.

So 2 questions on 4k WS.
1) What are the pixel dimensions of this format . As I noticed a couple of people saying you still better shooting 4k & then cropping in post.

2) How does this format compare to 4k HD ?

Same width as 4k but with 2.4 aspect ratio. So less compression or more frames...

Thanks Bjorn

Mmm so the question is 4Kws @ 36 fps better than 3K @ 48 fps for 16 x 9 TV ( The medium I work in.....)

Having 4K WS 36 is huge for me. I shoot 36 at 3K a lot, so this will give me a bit more resolution. Hurrah.

Yeah, actually 3k can often look better than 4k... That is to say, not as clinically sharp. I'm actually kind of surprised by how much better 3k is than 2k...

3k is surprisingly great. It really brings to light why a lot of people feel like Alexa is enough
