  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

18-85 T2.9 RED zoom...

For realz? Hehe.. Hey, maybe the guy was serious. But I wonder what actual sales were ever really made. I'm always skeptical of someone who just throws out offers like that, rarely are they ever serious. But you know, a fool and his money are soon parted. :)

With top optics out front the RedOne can produce stunning images - what would money be better spent on than that? Hookers and blow are great but eventually your nasal passages are trashed and you have multiple STDs, at least that's what Finner told me :holloween:

Exactly how I feel, that's why I bought the camera.

...I think I got an STD from Finner's mom.

Edit> Sorry I crapped in the thread some more. Shawn's right.

It's my understanding that the first of these spots will air during GOSSIP GIRL on Monday night - all RED PRO 18-85mm.

I'm feverishly redesigning and rebuilding my blog with Wordpress & Flickr - won't launch the redux until mid/late next week - and then it will be much easier for me to post clips and frames -
are you doing service for both candidates?.. very well.. that said.. you'll always win this november.. ehehehehe

spot is pro obama - I'm pro obama - I'm not running this year - so I can't really win

I'm from Oregon...where our measly electoral counts don't affect anything, so I've come to terms with my vote truly not counting, so I take a healthy dose of apathy every day. I'll just play my fiddle :-)

Btw, Mark, I'm feeling like a broken record here, is there a pic of hand-holding this sucker? Or is it too big to do that for any length of time? Are you getting rid of your 18-50s or do you think it's good to own both: 18-50 for hand-held, crane, steadicam usage and 18-85 for studio?

I don't have a pic - because I haven't shot hand held with it yet. When I do - I'll post - it's size and weight make it clearly not the first choice for hand-held.

FYI - I was born in Heppner, Oregon 1966. And you still need to vote. Some things in life are not just about the outcome - but rather the "doing".

I was, in fact, offered $100K for #19 in the fall of 2007. ... Is it stupid to get emotional about a camera? Probably - but I am a diagnosed camera geek and the RedOne is the most amazing imaging tool I have had the pleasure of spending serious time with.

I know the feeling :)
I had to sell one of my cameras some years ago, and I regret it every day.

Is filmmakers gang Stewart Chong or Finner after a stroke?

Finner is actually working. He hasn't had time to hang out with all of us losers lately.

did you say something?

I have a "filmmaker's gang filter" in my browser - :)
what you could read above-posted..

why the rant after all?

for sure me am not Mr. King a few pages before.. by the way..

OffHollywood gets the 1st one... I'm sure Mark will post some results.

Jim
Why him? This guy posted the most awful underexposed footage ever posted at Reduser. Almost canceled my Red reservation.

:innocent:
