  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I envy all those who went to bed before the big news. Now I'll never be able to sleep.

Now it will be so much harder to keep from openly deriding the competition.

Not yet... you can shoot big stock at fast framerates and the 645 is limited at 50fps... :)

Not just yet... but getting there... then again that's just for the IMAX theaters and such...

My opinion:

As a design philosophy, you nail it...

I would wanted an optical viewfinder with a spinning mirror shutter but it will arise a numerous of design problems that will not cover your vision... So what the hell... forget it...

Now I thing a hardware CF/SSD/HDD video player like a VTR (remember Pannys P2 mobile...) would be perfect for the stupids that are in the top of the food chain... that we usually call them "producers"... lets make something to ease their fears for immediately "computer less" delivery method...

My problem:

Hmm winter 2009... its very close... :umm: If I will have to wait in the line for another two years to touch an FF35 Epic I will probably be very disappointed... Jarred, open a deposit selection on your web shop to take my serial number... :help:

To wrap up... Jim well done! :)

Um NO!

I hope nobody gets to buy stock in this company!

As soon as shareholders start trying to make the decisions thats when an audaciously ambitious company starts getting screwed up – and turns into Canon.

Besides, I don't think big Jim needs the capital.

All of this is a year away. Remember, what Red's frame rate used to be a year ago and what it is now. Even the chart lists Red One at 30fps.

No kidding, can you say Fibre and Render Farm? Oh, by the way, these dailies are on Blu-ray and we're rendered from 1/16th resolution 28k :)

Seriously though, 6k doesn't seem like it will be that bad :) Especially with what is coming out from Intel soon.
