  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So... are we done for the night? Jannard is offline, but Jarred is not... Is this a toast before the final bomb is dropped?

Ahhh, possible downside to modular, is that every piece needs it's own branding.
There is a lot of Red medallions adorning some of those renders ;-)
 
when you sell a camera it should just work out of the box, sooooo if it's sold as a DSLR at 3k price point it wont be what was offered as a video camera in the first place. Red Ones are awesome Cameras, however will one of these things cost nearly as much if all this normally integrated equipment on current cameras is marked as a add on. Shit we might have to take out loans in this shitty economy just to have a fully functioning piece of equipment. I'm scared and excited at the same time, RED you've outdone yourselves once more with a great looking product advertised at 3k now lets just hope it won't cost 15 just to take it on a normal day of shooting. (Video that is)

About 6 months ago I brought my RED1 to P+S Technik HQ (also makers of SI-2K camera) to have a look at some opportunities about making IMS for RED.

Then we shot those pictures below on RED.

All was shot on RED1 and also Canon 40D DSLR was behind with Leica Summicron-R 50mm f/1.4 lens on.

What a coincidence about new Scarlet/Epic "brains" design I saw this morning here!!!

Only what I could conclude now is that RED was watching and listening.

About more details we should know in about 5 hours from now when I posted here.

It's where you change camera settings, and probably a whole lot more. Maybe you can hook up two, so that an AC could have one as well?

I wish Graeme had warned us about the hidden whisky costs associated with this camera - I'm just about to finish a great bottle of Caol Ila much sooner than expected...
