  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

13th responses here...

This makes complete sense if you've actually tried handholding the D90.

The most stable point on a shoulder mount is lower and between both hands, similar to an underwater housing's grips. I put the D90 on my REdrock setup when I first got it and found that if I held it out in front of myself, the setup being so light, it balances very well even when walking.

The only piece missing was the shoulder support and, well, now I see a way to make it work thanks to the render.

No I like it. Its a much more aesthetic position photographically especially with wider options!

So the base price of the scarlet is going to be $3k for 3k (the brain) but those "add ons" for small things like battery power and audio are going to add up quickly... really quickly...

so if audio ports are an ADD ON how many can you add, can you snap 2 of those packs on in the back and get 4 channel audio

Lookin at last pics Jim
WWWWWWWWWWWWOWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
Tryin to stay with you guys......had a major crash......I was off for 45 min.
Think perhaps many others in the industry are watchin! Pretty COOOOL! ..cl

well I lasted a hundred pages. but its off to bed for three hours. then i can look up the rest on my iphone as i drive down empty highways!

inquiring minds wanna know

Ok. The renders of the bare-bones Scarlet with interchangable lens and ENG EVF gives me enough to go so sleep happy.

Things are changing fast- in every profession and venue- and this looks like a step in the right direction!

So~o time to see what Nikon's massive announcement is next week?

:D I giggle.

Talk about add on prices, just imagine putting the new Leica f.95 lens on the Scarlet and shooting with available moon light :)

Thank You

Thank You

You have just answered my wish list in a camera that I would have thought was another generation away. I didn't think there would ever be a company that could actually put the desires of the end user first. Thank you!

Let the revolution begin!

I will need three! I'll be ditching my Canon as soon as I get my hands on the Scarlet and Epic.

I just noticed I hit the 1000th reply. As a present, Can I go to the top of the que?!:w00t:

So if there is only 1lb difference the the weight of EPIC and SCARLET (in a striped down configuration) and I'm getting an EPIC why would I need a SCARLET?

Any prototype footage or real pics?

No real pics cause what they likely have right now is a Frankenstein for eachof them, working models that look like the bare guts with a basic box covering them up... like they had for R1, but footage... I bet they post it when that little clock stops. :D
