i'm going to buy one and use the display port on my graphics card using a hdmi to display port converter then overclock my refresh rate to 60hz.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

If the refresh rate is 30hz I'm not sure motion will look very good on that. There were old CRT monitors that had 3K-ish resolution but were geared more towards photography and still frame graphic work due to their low refresh rates. If they really have motion figured out on this set then it truly is an absolute steal!
Forget all that. Instead, build a PC with a new-ish GPU from Nvidia or AMD, one that has the new 3GHz HDMI 1.4. That's capable of 4K. Connect PC to display via HDMI and you're off to the races.
That definitely works, but its a bit limiting... THose things must accept some sort of 4K encoded files, right?

Wayne, I think the character Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory may be loosely based on you '-)
(That's a compliment, BTW... I like Sheldon Cooper.)
Definitely not, he's much more anal (I think he's gay.).![]()
John,
I noticed a jpeg of your TV and desktop,
could you post that image here on RedUser...

I get mine April 25.
How far are you finding yourself sitting from it when using it as a computer monitor ?
I'm thinking of using it as my secondary monitor for 'video' and using the 30" as the main.
I'm sure this company is pissing off the other 'big guys' as they just blew the bottom out of their pricing strategies!
Screw good audio, smart TV features, etc. This is exactly what I need. I wish they made a 42" version tho.
Forgot to mention, the reason for the line resolution test in both directions is to test if it uses true rgb pixel or shared pixel scheeme, such as with the pen tile fiasco with the galaxy s screen. They do this to cut down the number of sub pixels, but it cuts down the resolution, and likely the color purity. Not good for straight line graphics and text reading either.
CongratulationsI get mine April 25.
