  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

+1 Module shipping next week

I've been able to play with one of these and it's great. You don't really notice any form factor increase in the camera size/weight and the added flexibility of running off the rear port for both single and/or dual EVF options makes things much more flexible and configurable. I will either be using one of these or a Meizler 100% of the time from now on... Now if I could just get my hands on a Meizler!
 
Rocking Video, very glad you're about to ship it - our HDSDI onboard monitors keep dying.

Did you ever see the prices on power blocks/port splitters on film camera? they were at least this price (even pre-inflation).. bargain!

I use the Viewfactor battery backpack with no module adapter. It's mounted to the camera back with four chrome posts which are screwed into existing holes on the camera back. Are those same threaded screw holes on the Plus one? If not is there an adapter plate from Viewfactor available?

There are a lot of things that one might *THINK* should be stock on the camera, but that is what the DSMC system is all about... brain plus components and modules that YOU need... One of the VERY best things about the RED system is the modularity. So don't complain about but rather appreciate the fact that Red does it this way. You build the camera based on the components and modules you need and I'll build mine the way I need.
 
Can someone recap the ports on the +1?

2nd EVF port and? Just an extra power out? is there anything on the side they didn't show in the video?
 
So, any one that's interested in our adapter module, I guess it's not worth so much any more.

Very cool video guys and of course a fine module. I'll order one as soon as i get a EVF and/or the 9" (everytime i see it i love that 9" more and more).
I'm glad i've the RED Battery modules, it's a really great system.
