What do you guys do to troubleshoot and reconnect/ get the app to work when that happens?

Restarted the KOMODO, the app, then the KOMODO and the phone as well, to no avail.

Hey Steven,

It happens to me at times occasionally through normal use
and every time in situations I have to restart Komodo but already have RED control open.
I also see issues after Black shading where the picture in RED control either disappears or is severely corrupted.

Usually closing out of RED control and re-opening fixes the situation.

When that doesn’t work (rare but it happens) I’m might have to
turn the iPhone off/on and then restart RED control.
Definitely not ideal but it keeps the show moving.

These remaining stability issues along with some of the
other Wi-Fi video issues (choppy frame rates)
hold RED control back from being bullet proof.

Thank you Brian.

It was most annoying while out shooting this past December! Had 3 phones, none of the things mentioned in our chat here worked, not even resetting Network Settings and turning off Private IP Address under the Komodo WiFi settings in iOS worked.

I have been looking for Michael's handle on here so that we can tag him. Can't find it at the moment.

It's off by default, you do need to enable it to get live stream via RED Control for WiFi or Hard Line connection.

Hello Steven

as mentioned by Phil and confirmed by the photo you uploaded showing the RED logo the LIVE STREAM feature seems to simply be turned off in your case.

I will have a close look at the Black Shading issue Brian experienced to see if I can reproduce and fix that. Thanks

Would it make sense to show a note that live stream is disabled in the camera instead of the RED logo?

Gentlemen!

Thank you so much for your assistance. That did it. And it's working now.

And I agree with Alex.

Thank you again, everyone.

Cool- greatly appreciate you looking into the issue. Have been experiencing it for a while on 2 Komodos.
If you need anything from me (log files, etc) please let me know.
