  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8

and how does the color compare to zeiss lenses. this looks a little on the cool side which would be great.
I don't have any experience with the latest Art/Sport Sigmas (which have updated coatings, I think), but the Sigmas I've used tend to give a bit of a cyan hue. Moving the midtones toward red a little bit gives you a pretty neutral-looking image, and getting them to match Zeiss shouldn't be too hard.

Excellent.

My advice is run, do not walk to get this lens.

Getting off my rear to find my card reader.

Even being apsc? think itll be fine with epic if it can shoot 4.5k? or something along those lines? im hoping the vignetting wont be super bad.

Does anyone know where I can find one in stock? Or when the soonest one might be able to get one, everywhere seems to say pre-order still...

for those of you considering a PL version, Nan at G.L. Optics is already re-housing this lens and is available for $3500. If anyone has ordered one of these PL mount re-housed, care to share some sample files?

dont know about that. I have some lenses by Gl. All of them behave like cine lenses. They dont rotate infinitely like canon l series if that is what you mean by hardstops. That would throw the focus ring completely off.
