  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Who shipped their scarlet for a EPIC-X?

Got my tracking number will be at my house tomorrow :)

EPIC-X #05398 landed this morning, two weeks on the nose since I received my RMA for the SCARLET.... Well done RED. Not so well done FedEx, I ended up going to the depot to pick it up after I received a delivery exception email saying no one was available to sign for the package. I took a day off work to make sure I got the camera before the weekend and I have a doorbell that sounds like an air raid siren so I know I could not have missed it. No label was affixed to my door so I think someone cut their rounds short...
 
Canadians customs really put me through the ringer. The only thing that saved my ass was the Fedex receipt from when I sent the original camera back to RED. Fedex tried to get me to pay taxes on the whole 17K verses the 9.5K.
 
I got mine but missing the sticker? Did some test shooting I am amazed on how much more the Epic can do!!! Love it

Baahhhhh! Good thing the receipt is on the outside of the box and it clearly reflects that the purchase includes an -8000$ credit to the 17.5K sale =)

They thought that invoice attached was fishy and that I was trying to scam them somehow. I went through the same thing with the Evf upgrade.

WOW. those guys are super bored. Reminds me when I flew into Toronto a few years back and they kept me at immigration for about an hour. it was practically empty and I was the only one in there at 1AM... It's like they needed something to do.

I guess next time you pack a credit card statement? I am not sure. sorry you ran into that =/

Bob,

Could you tell me what the invoice said when you received the Epic X shipment back from RED? I'm trying to anticipate my potential customs import problems.

BTW Shipped my Scarlet back to RED from Thailand on May 23rd via FedEX.

Customs will get a Sales Quote that says:

1.Epic-X Brain: $17500
2. Scarlet to Epic Credit: $8000

Order Total: $9500
 
05419 is my serial number :)
