  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X PRO BUILD 17 Release Build

When I installed 17, it says : "Not available" on HDRx. Image, Curves and Gamma.
In other words; I can´t adjust anything as the tools, settings and curves are not there anymore.
What have I done wrong?

I updated the software through Redcine X 16 when it told me a new version was available

Once you put a clip in the viewer all controls should be available. What type of clip are you using 2d, 3d, HDRX?

Hi Rob,
it was exporting to Prores 422HQ in 2K from 5K footage, full debayer using RR. But it only happened twice and I have rendered dozens of clips so far with this build. However, I 'll send a log next time it happens. What should I send, and where ?

BTW, is there a way with RCX to automatically send an email report to a given email address when a crash occurs, or when the render is finished ?

RCX keeps crashing when exporting h264s. 4KHD to h264. Re-downloading RCX 16 now. Also, using RR.

Please send a saved report (From the RCX Help Menu) to (redcinex at red dot com).

Michael,

We received your clip and everything looks ok with it. The artifact you are seeing is just a result of GPU scaling when adjusting the zoom in the Viewer. Nothing to worry about unless you are seeing similar artifacts in a transcode. The error messages are unrelated and just mean you were unable to connect to our app update server.

David

No. With the previous version everything was fine...
I sent you the clip Rob.
What about the error messages ?
Best

Maybe I was a bit to quick. I don't remember if I had a clip in the viewer or not.
That was probably the cause. I'll re try later. Thanks for the post

The new Build of Redcinex keeps crashing on me. It happened at least 5 times yesterday during transcoding 5K files. I've never had this problem with earlier builds.

Lukasz can you send me some details about these crashes where/when they happen and send a saved report (From the RCX Help Menu) to (redcinex at red dot com).

Build 17 keeps crashing with me as well. Build 16 and 15 never crashed. How easy is it to roll back

And what is the solution to avoid this messages. RCX switch to the status box, difficult to work in this conditions.

i had to go back to 16....17 just crashed everytime

Jean, can you give me some more details about these crashes? When they were occuring etc.. a saved report from from them would be useful as well since we aren't getting these crashes here. Please email any details to me at (redcinex at red.com).

I returned back to build 16 as well.
red rocket export to pro res - kept crashing

10.6.8. talking to red support about it already.

Can anyone tell me what these are and how I get rid of them? cause they are filling up my SSD fast... currently in the middle of a doc render to prores.

JP, those files are apart of an interprocess communication mechanism we use during transcoding. It's perfectly normal -- they are temporary and disappear at the end of your transcode.
