  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X PRO BUILD 17 Release Build

David thx for the late night reply. What if it fills up my hardrive before my transcoding is completed should I delete some of the older ones?

JP,

There should never exist more than a handfull of these files at any given time during a transcode. You are safe to wipe this directory, or reboot your machine which will do that same thing. Do not do this while RCX is transcoding! Next time you transcode if you see these accumulating please send me an email at redcinex at red dot com.

Thanks,
David

Got to thank RED again, I don't know what changed (i flipped my computer network around a bit, plus with the updates to REDCINE) ... but my monochrome redcine r3d to openexr speeds are screaming quick(everything is running across all my threads perfectly without using a redrocket). Also the monochrome exr is 1/3 the size of normal (i.e. it is for sure compressing out the color). With this space and speed increase I'm doing the DI at 4096x1716 using OPENEXR-ZIPS out of redcine and into nuke. Am now able to do the entire DI at 4k, I was in a 2k DI cause of speed/space/cost issue ... lmao ... but will do some minor changes in nuke/modo and cut over to a 4k DI for a full 4k ws output. Keep up the great work guys.

I am having this same message come up for me as Phil had.

I am on WINDOWS 8 PRO 64BIT. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled twice, shutdown, repeated and nothing has worked. Not sure myself what it could be.

Thanks!

** Edit, a fresh reboot and installation solved whatever this was.

Errors. Win64 Windows 7:

After installing, removing, and reinstalling RCX won't start.

During installation it can't find or remove the .lnk shortcuts as well.

Upgraded and working. Thanks for making such great software for free! :cheers2: OSX 10.8.2 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 MBP & OSX 10.8.2 3.33 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon MP. Helps me keep FCPX Red workflow in check.

Having major issues. Installed to latest and now it runs for maybe 5 seconds then crashes. Rebooted my system. Completely unstable release! Win 7 Pro 64bit.

Hey Grant/RED, would it be possible to have the double-click on the viewer alternate between "100%" and "fit both"? If possible, the 100% centred around where the mouse was actually double-clicked.

I constantly use the "fit-both" double-click, but scrolling/zooming in and out has gotten tiresome, and I seem to be using it soooo often. Not a "must do" by any means, but it'd be nice.

just downloaded and installed redcine x build 17 on a new system and i'm trying to export 6 clips simultaneously. I have REDline software checked under options and i have max number of clips set to 6 in preferences. is there anything else i need to do? i had it working on build 14, and i think that is all i did was just changed those settings. I don't recall installing anything else or going to the terminal to get this to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
