All,

Wanting to thank and acknowledge all on the RED team who are and have been working toward realizing this EPIC camera this year. It's a sweet gift you've given yourselves and soon, the rest of the world.

Graeme, Deanan, Jim, Jarred, Stuart, Rob, Kelly, Travis... and the many many more people who are RED. THANK YOU!

I am grateful also for this community. The exchanges here are invigorating and it's a great group that have come together around this technology.

Looking forward to 2011 and all the great things around the corner.

David Battistella....

I would also like to add my thanks for saving us and our films, "Works in Progress" and "Terminal" on several occasions. Superb service and a genuine desire to help indie filmmakers.

Mucho danka to you all.

Stephen

+1 from Austria

Thanks you -

There's only one RED!!!

I've been following RED since it's early days with great enthusiasm. Now that I'm diving into the deep end of the RED pool I must say the water is very warm! Thank you for continuing to push the envelope and fight the good fight, all your successes are well earned and I'm proud to consider myself a part of this incredibly talented and spirited community.

THANK YOU RED!

I don't post here very often (but lurk and read constantly), not being a RED owner (yet), but I have to echo the thanks to the RED Team for your dedication, hard work, and vision!

You at RED are truly transforming the industry before our very eyes, and doing it in an amazingly short amount of time. Your willingness to "pull back the veil" and engage in dialog with the REDUser community should be a lesson to all manufacturers about the value of two-way communication with their user-base.

Thank you, Jim and company...I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2011!

I also second the original post...happy holidays to the whole RED Team!

I'd like to add my voice to the thanks.

Could have gone on and on, but basically:

It is really apprechiated, even when I am a pain in the but... -:)

Ditto to David's post!!

I love being onboard the Red train with you guys. Thanks for working so hard!

I just read through this thread and it made me smile even more.

Maybe someday we can get to know everybody's name that's working on the program, but until that day, I'd just like to extend my personal thanks to all of you for changing the face of professional moving images into one that is more accessible, higher quality and innately more inclusive of the widest variance of point of view. A a student of history, I am certain that your efforts will be recognized as a turning point in the rich legacy of cinema. I'm certain that creating Red Digital Cinema Co. will be counted as Jim Jannard's greatest accomplishment. Some people think you're just making fancy cameras, but cameras are among the most powerful instruments ever devised. A photographer and his camera can stop time, overthrow a brutal dictator, illuminate injustice, bear witness to genocide, speak for the silent, make kings and presidents out of mortal humans and allow our children and grandchildren to see us and our generation's world in a way that no other in history can. To say nothing of the ability to capture the sublime beauty of a hummingbird in flight or to capture a sunset on the farthest most desolate part of the world. It is important and meaningful work that you do and when you're up at 4am working on this project, think about the lives that may be changed for the better because the camera you built brought the attention of the world to some injustice or tragedy through the images it made. I have friends who are shot at daily in the most dangerous parts of the world in the quest to bring back to all of us the story of what is really happening there. To them, the ability to take a camera to those places is worth risking their lives for. Soon they will be able to take a camera with them that is orders of magnitude better than anything they have ever been able to take. Will the images they bring back save lives? Shorten wars? Expedite aid to refugees? Your labor and sweat is not limited to the latest Hollywood blockbuster- your work matters more than you can imagine. On their behalf and on behalf of their subjects- I humbly thank you for all the midnight oil you burn and all the Redbull you drink to make these cameras happen.
