  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

heh heh yeah we cant ever win with everyone.. and that is ok. I am just glad there is enough positive remarks to drown out the few yelps of criticism though :)
 
Is there any lower compressions with the Scarlet for the turbo cards? Or should we wait for more R&D of dragon before it can be answered?
 
Something that's important to me with an upcoming two week shoot with lots of high speed......at 300 fps what compression can I shoot at? I believe 7:1 was the best on the "old SSD's" which was always a little on the "noisy" side. Very excited to get some lower compression, if possible.
 
With one more 500Gig Mag to add to my 2x256 and 2x64 I can shoot all day and not worry about dumping down to drives. That warms my heart. Oh no wait... then there's the DRAGON sensor! I'm gonna need more for sure. Does it never end? Happy days :)

I'm not complaining in any way, its a question. Gees, you guys are...!!!. I'm excited as you all are with this announcement but I was curious about Scarlet 32Gb. That's all.

Harry, I think it was the "Something fishy's going on here" comment is what made you a target. While I interpret what you said as referring to your assumption that it should take less time to build and test the slower 32 GB card than the turbo and that seemed fishy to you, others took it (and understandably so) to mean that you were accusing RED of something sinister. I don't hold it against you that you want the card that best suits your needs... I've lobbied for things that best suited mine (NIKON MOUNT!!) and it still hasn't materialized.

All I'm saying is, we all get misunderstood from time to time. I've found it's best to explain once, then let it pass.

There's usually a lot of activity here after midnight. Just sayin :) Order button is getting red hot.
 
I think we all appreciate too that the announcement and pricing was revealed a few weeks back allowing those people that were about to purchase media to hold off until the price increase. Nothing worse than ordering on Monday at one price and then finding on Tuesday that you could have saved thousands!
Only with RED do you get this type of friendly serivce I reckon, cheers guys.

Just burnt my 256 card to ash and found out that it just passed the 3 months warranty. Bummer. But... This couldn't have come at a better time. Now, F5, F5, F5...
