  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

You are all Invited....

Okay... I'll visit Vegas again, see you there, I'll bring some Italian NUTELLA, or what ever for you guys, just let me know what you prefer fresh from Italy... ;)

And I'll bring real Danish pastry? ;-)

He he, then I'll bring the biggest jar I can fit in my suit case... The 11LB one... ;)

Pardon my ignorance but what's the difference between Italian Nutella and American Nutella?

Unless I am missing something...

USA is not licensed to make Nutella, Canada is, but do to regulatory ingredients for the Nutella outside of Italy, it can not be reproduced in Exact form,
so the original form in which the Nutella is made only can be appreciated form the one "MADE in ITALY"... ;)

By the opening of the Jar of Italian Nutella a fragrance of Hazelnut Chocolate Cream and Hazelnut Oil invades your senses, no other Nutella manufactured else were does this!!

If Jarred lets you smell it, then you'll understand, but I have a filling that once I have given him the HUGE Jar of Nutella, NO one will be let near him... ;)

It is like Pizza. There's no other similar like in Italy. BTW, I miss my 1st country of adoption whenever I am out of ...home :))

And the most funny to the italians who may read this. I even feel this in my native country (Portugal) about your crazy/beloved country! :-)

(and I sincerely love mine! :)

ahahah!! any other request from Italy? Nutella, prosciutto... Do U know something about "'nduja"? it's a local (Calabria, Italy) spicy spreadable sausage... very good. (la conosci Ketch?)

No Carmine, non la conosco, forse anche dovuto al fatto che non mangio nulla di piccante... ;)

I'd ask for some proper gelato but I don't think it'd make the trip.

Always one of my favorite treats when over there.

Ok, how about ladies and chocolate spread? Don't do it Ketch, I'm just kidding. ( :

I think I'll blow the dust off my car and drive down to Vegas. Would be a joy to finally get to meet some of you lads. And Mr. Cioni is hosting no less.

For those of you who have not picked up a copy of American Cinematographer yet, M Cioni and M Most contributed to a very decent article on digital workflows: "Go with the Flow". Not to mention the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo coverage.

Okay one last off topic...

Girls and Chocolate Spread no, but I am prepping for a Chocolate Fountain and girls... ;) Shot on Epic with Canon Mount as part of the Canon reel,
hope to bring it to NAB in a 4K DCP for you guys to enjoy if RED likes it and decides to show it on the RED LASER... ;)

And yea, I do have a membership to the American Cinematographer, and agreed, that article is pretty nice, even so it still misses
several important points that do need to come across very strongly in the industry, in a way I kind of wish RED did a bit of what Arri does,
with so much money spent on advertisement and spreading info, even so much of it its artifact, sorry Arri, but it is true.

This thought just occurred to me...why on Sunday? Doesn't that limit the usefulness? Since then nothing about the show can be discusses (since the show obviously hasn't started yet). Even if Red decided to do full press release that night (will they?) none of the software partners have done theirs yet

actually, by sunday night all the coolest info is out, and makes for best conversations. its sure a lot better than Wednesday, my body always feels like it went through intensive torture after 3 days of Vegas + NAB .

and as the show hasn't officially started sunday, people won't be wearing the silly looking conference name-tag around their necks at the Red party :)

This year will be my first NAB, and this party will be the climax... So excited!

I might have to make a drive just to hang out with you crazies and act like a filmmaker again.

I'll think I tag along to this one...
I promised myself NAB every 3 years.

If the RED lazar projector is being previewed, then I most definitely will be there.

Hold you to that Mark :-)

And ill have to bring some 'Australian Nutella' for YOU Ketch :wink5:
