is stage 2 the dual or quad? I have forgotten

Already backordered! Amazing.

It went into backorder immediately as they must first fulfill Stage 2 Epic orders. Nevertheless, got my order in right away!

Quote from Jarred:

Remember the there are a ton of people with automatic rights to the adapter module and the Quad battery module so you don't need to go too crazy. The modules will hit the store in a couple hours but will enter backorder status immediately.

You always get to deliver the good news.

Thanks for the heads up.

Great video, Sean. Thanks for the look into the future.

supports the added weight/stress from the larger accessory modules

Why wouldn't the camera be strong enough to hold a module on its own? Seems like a strange design decision. With all these modules the camera is going to be 6 feet long. Seriously though how long will it be with body + adapter + quad battery + pro I/O + redmote?

Also is their an order of operations requirement? i.e. can you swap pro I/O and Quad?

Just curious what people think might be the advantage to the quad module over bricks? They would both give similar run time, yeah? And a brick on the back would be a smaller form factor I believe.

I definitely know what you are saying, as the owner of (8) Anton Bauer Dionic batteries. :001_smile:

My guess is: One advantage will be for younger Scarlet owners who don't have the cash yet to invest in a larger brick battery system. When you go that direction, you never spend less than $2000-$3000, and often more. Perhaps their Redvolts will be able to do double duty in the side handle and also in more of a studio configuration.

Brent, do you have weight and size specs for the quad and the dual battery modules?
Also, if I receive a Stage 2 Quad notice, is it possible to pass on that and trade for the first of the Dual units in March?

You mention all orders first go to Stage 2 but what about Stage 3? Do Stage 3 get there parts before anyone like Stage 2?
Reservations for Stage 3 have close so Red knows how many orders there are.

Just wondering if this gets taking into account in the Back Order calculation on when things will be available?
