  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wooden Camera Quick Back

Will probably be picking up one of these if I make my way to Houston any time soon.

Very cool product...

I wonder if it's possible to mount the Quick Back + Swit V-mount + RED Brick without having to use the M4 screws?

It would certainly make it easier to swap with the REDmote.

Maybe create a 19mm rodmount plate replicating the back of the Epic for when you need to have the remote attached to the Epic for charging! :thumbsup:
 
Great product! The only drawback for me is that cables on the battery plates are too long, is there a way to make them shorter?

Re cable length. Considered this too. But there is some potential advantages to the longer cable though.

I plan on getting them b/c they're long. Right now I have a VF Apu but rather than dealing with extenders it's never a bad idea to have a back-up which in this case can also serve as a longer option especially once the I/O Module is out.
 
I will be purchasing one of these within the next month. Quick Back + QB Battery Back (Swit/IDX) + Plate. I really, really, really like the design. Ryan's certainly got a realistic view on gear that users want. I'll be "snapping" this on the back of the Scarlet X. A shorter cable would be nice for that, but I also don't mind wrangling a bit more cable.

Just looking for a good source for V-Mount batteries that will fit on this plate in the 160wh+ range.
 
I just picked one up. Ryan's products are always fantastic, and the customer service over there is great. This was perfect timing and will help make up for no side handle shipping with Scarlet's yet...
 
Well how's that for a speed up in schedule! Just got my Scarlet allocation. DSMC Side Handle will be on back order until early January.
Just ordered a Quick Back with Swit IDX V-mount from Wooden Camera, which I was going to do in about 30 days anyways. But I have to power this thing.

Good to hear on those Global Media Pro batteries.

I'm leaving for Austin on the 7th for a about a week and will need to power Scarlet. I really can't express enough how much I like the Quick Backs design. It had me at "hello".
 
How well does that Charger hold up? The price is almost too attractive.

Was considering the Bebob since I've used it before and works really well.

It's designed and constructed nicely. Worth it in my opinion.
