  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Are you cameras on extreme makeover. Getting liposuction on the fans and a flare reduction in the eyes :-)

Awesome that you guys figured out how to playback in camera. Will for sure save a lot of time and really wow some people. But now that you guys got over that bump in the road, how about a really timelapse mode with longer shutters than 1sec.

I hope this helps -If you have the latest version of REDCINE X go to the icon at the top of your computer (RED Watchdog) and make sure your RED Mags are in "read-write" mode instead of "read only"

Make sure that you are not running RED WATCHDOG ( you should see the little red logo on top left of your top bar in MAC ) This mounts SSD cards as read only by default.. and will not let you drag files onto the cards.

Just going back to RED, to make sure they'll be SPOT ON for our next job in Dubai, s after that there will be NON STOP work for a long time with no downtime to send them back...

Just a routine check in and stuff... But hey... What ever RED fills like doing to them they are more then welcome he he...

Just for right now on the Alpha build.. an (a) version will come soon. And soon enough everything will just be one build, just a few more autofocus bugs to squish.

This might have to be known as the TOIA build.

Though I never doubted RED I'm sure the constant irritation added some fuel to delivering this long awaited feature.

You've taken care of the family again.
What can we do for you guys?

I'll start with thank you, but it doesn't seem like enough. If you all weren't so committed to the work and dedicated to bringing us great cameras with great features, we wouldn't be the benefactors of great technology.

Always late...(maybe)
Committed to customers (always)
Performing beyond expectations (riding with RED we are spending a lot of time looking in the rear view mirror, watching the distance between us and the "others" widen)

Heh heh we hid Toia's comments from the engineers so they didn't all quit :)

Getting playback functional was a tough nut to crack...along with some of the other features in build 2. The good thing is that with every mountain the firmware successfully climbs, they get stronger, better and faster. We keep needing to buy more bookshelves for our code library.

I'm sure toia would buy them all a beer now.

We know he's gonna have great playback stories.
 
Just when I was getting use to shooting old school (film) playback is enabled. No one bothering me for playback was refreshing. Watching the dailies. Felt like old times.

Playback is extremely comforting though, thanks red.

Woow, this is it. Toia build is here,hehe. Now the camera kills everything else on the planet. Big time props to all of you.
I need playback next week urgently. Now we are good to go.

There's no better way to wake up in the morning.
