  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

To be clear...

definitly stage 2/3 is THE most outstanding deal offered by a camera company ever.
maybe a blast of emails to all customers should be made. there are some redowners who doesnt visit reduser.

It is pretty easy. Just embrace our program. And don't ask for more than we are offering...

Jim

In my opinion you can only have nothing less than respect and admiration for, I have yet to see a company that is willing to go to such extremities just for customer satisfaction, every other company out there will leave you with an outdated product hanging and will expect you to purchase the next gen with no type of incentive or discount for the previous one, leaving you with just more garbage that will end up in landfills and yet we still don't feel bad about it, Now Red comes along and people start acting up and complaining about details and delivery dates. I for one say thank you Red for doing something that hasn't been done in the past 50 years successfully, so people be more appreciative of what's being done here, it's not as easy as baking cookies.

Sorry if I sound angry

Think of it this way if Red would not be doing this I highly doubt that anybody else in the world YES I said WORLD would be doing this!!!!

IM DONE!!!!

That is the fact, i know my friend who had red one and never visit reduser, maybe twice or three times a year

Sounds like his is missing something? I can't imagine a RED ONE owner missing access to everything RED.

Jim

I have one over here. I have to tell him that RED offers MX upgrade last time and also about Epic Stage-2. Im pretty sure you dont have many such customer, but there will be a few. They are just not forum addicted and cant stare in front of display.

I'm amazed by misconception that he had about RED where i have to clear a lot of things up with him and he is a RED ONE owner !

Such person exist, really.

Same here, I know a RED owner in Hamburg who is not even registered as a REDUSER member.

I wonder if he even knows about REDcolor2 and REDgamma2?

Jim

As my friend's case, not at all ! The last one he knows is Red Space and red rushes. But this is not your problem really.

Sounds like his problem. Please tell him to sign in and upgrade his knowledge!

Jim

i educate the two i know and keep them up to date...he was shocked when he 1st saw the mx...he upgraded :)
when showing him a picture of epic the 1st time he thought its a dslr.
i will never forget the face when he realised that the epic is a 5k camera.

I tried tho, i can only help him as far as i can go but if he doesnt want to know more himself, there is nothing i can do.

I might join his company in the Summer, so they will have a RED aware and knowledgeable staff member.

(I joined here long before RED1 shipped, just my old account "vivoices" got banned because my screen-name was not changed even though I submitted in "Real Names" more than once. No harm done :)

but i know a postproduction owner who does 20+ movies ayear who doesnt own a red.
and he advises to shoot red to all customers :)
he is not registered too :)

i am sure a red facebook page or twitter account would reveal
most of these types of guys

Some contribute by not saying anything when there is nothing to add, except perhaps for a little humor on occasion. Helps improve the signal/noise ratio.
+1 echoing appreciation for the positive communication from Red in this forum.

Really? What are they thinking?

Jim

Well, they're not thinking, they're working ;-) Most of the people I know, who really work (directors, dops, etc...) don't have time to spend hours on internet forums to get the right info and updates. It's easy to understand. On Reduser there are plenty of young kids or jobless people, even Red owners, who prefer to spend their lives here than going out and use their beautiful camera ;-)

I guess you need everyone to build this world :patriot:
