Be careful of the dude Emil something. He reached out to me outside of ShareGrid where I have listed two of my Tokina Cinema Vista 35mm and 85mm T1.5's, for sale. He pretend to use his wife's name at first. Then he sent me a check for US$9,560.00 for a listing that I had for US$9,500.00. He misspelled my name on the check. Then he sent me another check for the same amount (always on next day delivery). Both checks were similar and had different companies issuing the check. I took it to my credit union and they were suspicious about the check. They put a hold for 10 business days, which I welcomed. The very next day, he text me about his courier is demanding delivery fees of US$200.00 that I have to pay (which I never agreed to), and send that money to his delivery guy using Apple pay or a gift card or something. He called me several times and had a distinct African accent. Finally, I told him that I'm NOT going to pay ANYTHING until his check clears the bank and hold additional 15 days before I ship my lenses to him.

He went radio silent right after that. I'm going to my bank on this Thursday to let them know what happened.

Please be careful.

Good luck in selling your lenses.

Hi Gregory,

Is your Komodo package still available? I'm based in Houston and would love to check it out and potentially buy it.
Hey Vince,

I think I might be interested in your Gemini kit.

I'm actually in Toronto, and would fly over to check it out and bring back with me.

Only thing is, I'm like crazy busy with meeting multiple deadlines at the moment, I shouldn't even be searching reduser lol... but anyway, I just thought the package looked good even the fact that it's Nikon mount will match my Epic Dragon setup...

Just wanted to send you a message, but realistically for me I won't be able to pick up the camera till early or Mid Nov if I'm being realistic.

Thought I should express my interest anyway.

Thanks,

-Ant

Hey John,
I send a message but am following up with a PM.
Do you still have either of the Revolva EF sets? If so, I'd like to grab one with both inserts.

I also have the Tilta Advanced Gold Mount cage ($830) otw but its been backordered and have not received confirmation its shipped yet. Hi Joshua,

I am looking into purchasing an older DSMC1 system for the occasional narrative project (coming from the Red One MX) and it's great to see that there is still someone who can service them -- you are a great resource for keeping these old systems alive. I was curious though, is there anything that I should be looking for as a buyer? Obviously, some kits look well-cared for while others don't. But in your experience, are there some models that are more prone to failure than others? Beyond a full teardown/cleaning/internal battery swap, are there any other repairs that you are able to do?

Thanks.

So the Epic Mx is one of my favorites but the ISP is prone to go out and I have no replacements for that.

I would go Dragon it's a more reliable camera. The sensor seems to be more sensitive to be jarred. I don't have a lot that come in with that issue but I had enough to know that it's one of the dragons weak points, but still the most reliable of the series.

Just make sure you use it don't let them sit around. Weirdly they will break on the shelf so turning it on once a week and letting it get up working temperature is good practice. So don't be so scared of hours anything sub 1500hrs would be a good by but if it's over that still not the biggest deal I would get a cleaning right away on anything over 1500 but yearly maintenance cleaning is a good practice as well.

Scarlet Mx is good if I has the top and bottom fan upgrade they need to stay cool but I also have plenty of parts for those.

If the seller is willing I could check it out before purchase and let you know if it would be a good buy and any maintenance it might need.

Thanks, this is useful (too bad because I was pretty pumped to pick up an Epic MX!). But it sounds like the Scarlet MX is less prone to failure? The top fan upgrade is easy to spot because they are red in color, but is there a way to make sure that the bottom fans have also been replaced?

That's a really interesting observation about the hours on a camera. I've read a couple of posts here where owners say that they've powered their camera on after letting it sit and finding issues.

Out of curiousity, are the DSMC2 bodies more reliable? And do you service those too?
Hey Jason - Thanks for reaching out. I need something with the ergonomics of the C300 III/C500 II for my next project. I am about to lower the price of this kit. Thanks for the offer.
Hi Graeme - Thanks for reaching out. I'm needing a C300 III/C500 II for my next project. If I were doing something personal I'd probably go for it. I am about to lower the price of this kit. Thanks for the offer.
Hey Matthew,
Regarding your post about the Komodo-X. I have a Canon R3 if your production is looking for one. Would that be of interest in a trade+cash scenario?

Cheers,
Graeme
