K, I have been on the fence about getting one. The 7” touch has been serving me well but I am certinally not feeling the immersed part. Focus with the 7” is really harder than it needs to be.

I have both now. I love the monitor, but outside I can't deal with the sun even with a shade. I like having both and cinematically, the monitor is great. However, I default to the EVF almost every time.

I love the EVF...I just wish I didn't have a problem with the red powering both. Right now I have to put the EVF in the front port to get power and lose the touch screen functionality....so lately I've just been using an SDI EVF instead. Is there a better workaround?

The camera can very much power both.If not you need to change your settings.

Yes, it powers them both easily. But I often take the screen off and just use the EVF. It is always first choice.
