  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

@ WWDC - Steve Jobs on Stage.

Apple user suffer from "stockholm syndrom"...

A little harsh, but perhaps truer than it first appears. They do make some of the most aesthetically pleasing products. This counts a lot towards brand value and loyalty. Logically, utility-wise, though, there's very little going for them. I used only iPods before Creative's Zen Vision:M. They were the best music players for the first 3 generations. iPhone was perhaps the best smartphone on release, as well. Beyond that...

On the PC arena - I always preferred Windows over OSX. FCP is starting to fall far behind the likes of PP CS5 or Vegas 9. Hardware-wise, desktop-wise, it's a total no-brainer. Paying a very, very steep premium for rather outdated products isn't my idea of good value. I am an assembler and overclocker, so the Macs are not an option anyway.

In fact, there are perhaps even more lax with their hardware than ever before. Clearly, their focus is shifting more towards glossy products like iPads and iPhones.

More style, less substance, is about right, in the end. Apple users do love Apple products though, so there might be some truth to the "Stockholm syndrome" suggestion.

Kinda disappointed....it really doesn't have much over HTC EVO....Apple is no longer the only player in touchscreen phones thanks to Google's Android giving it some serious competition.... (I love competition!)

To be fair, it is a week long event. There's plenty of opportunity for an announcement. I would expect new FCS / Mac Pro to be announced. Of course, the Mac Pro would be quite outdated in less than six months once Sandy Bridge hits.

Today's event was for the major products. iPhone. Arguably (or not), Apple's focus today is towards consumer products like iPad or iPhone.

Sure one is due but it would be even cooler if they've spent some time on it. Reinventing it etc then just an upgrade.

Apple is up to something with the Mac Pro. If it were just a simple upgrade, they would've started shipping them with 6-core CPUs. After all the hexacore chips drop right into the current systems, just need an EFI update to use them on the current logic boards.

I'm expecting a new design and there's a good bet that Apple may be waiting to release with the next Intel CPU update, which is due end of July.

the new Mac-pros will not be silver Aluminum. More of a mix of gunmetal matte black and grey.
touchscreen monitors, 24 cores, usb 3.0,.
unfortunately it wont be released till August . FCS studio price will be cut in half.
Hey I am just speculating

I'd rather apple take their time and release a new MacPro with a whole new redesign, ie more PCI expansion slots, more internal HDD drive bays, new FCS software recoded, new quicktime etc rather than just a simple update to the current GEN systems we have. And for the love of g-d can we please have NVIDIA driver support for the SDI Daughter boards and 5800 card please!

"15 years ago he was working on Final Cut Pro, this year he's working on iMovie for iPhone."

Wish they were still working on FCP...

Most memorable moment of WWDC 2010 keynote...

At the end of the face time video when they showed a man and a woman, presumably one or both hearing impaired, having a mobile conversation with one another via iPhone 4 video chat.

Steve Jobs commented something like "That's why we do what we do."

iPhone 4 and iOS4 is a game changer. Mark my words. Google, RIM, HP and Microsoft will spend the rest of the month trying to figure out how they can match its capabilities at the same price point. It's never the other way around.

Sorry for those that don't get it, I LOBVE THE NEW iPHONE 4!!!

For one I will buy one to each member of my Love ones, and I will enjoy seen them as often as I wish, as no every one of them can handle a computer to do video skype ;~)

As far as other announcements, they are coming, as Jeff said, it is not in Apple's game to do announcement of more then one major thing per day, and there is time till the 11th!

I never do like to guess what is coming and or when, but I so happen to know that something more is coming, that is why I sold my Mac Pro, and 24"LED display, and follow suggestions and didn't buy the iMac.

New Mac Pro, new 27" LED display and more..

Even a fool can guess that more is coming. Problem is if it's game changing or not. I'm hoping for something more this time. Sure the iPhone is great and I will get one, but I also want to edit with a 12 core (or more) Mac Pro, with 10 PCI e slots on FCP that runs 8 4K uncompressed streams bla bla

I want Steve to be announcing it, because that's when they think it's a game changer.
