  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

your fav poster?..

Gibby, David Mullen, everyone on the Red team, etc. Basically, those who are giving of their own time and knowledge to better equip the rest of us.

As for comedy, ChuckT has my vote.

my favs:

JJ (reminds me of spiderman... :-)
Graeme the tech-geek
JPP

Lol - I was fully expecting a discussion on movie posters.

Well, might as well hijack this thread since mine would be Metropolis, the long poster:

I don't think I have a favorite poster. At least not in the sense that I think one person brings more to the board for me to enjoy than others.

Where is that poster thread again? there were loads of them, even I made one...

Anyway as far as favourite posters on reduser.net (not counting RED employees) in no particular order:
offhollywood
David Mullen
Gibby
Jay A Kelley

My fav's have already been mentioned, also I appreciate a lot Martin Weiss for his inputs about the forum nettiquett, BigT for his good inputs on easy-workflow, Akube for his laughly/lovely feedbacks, ... and an member with an photo as avatar, older man, red baseball cap, looking sideways with his hand under his jaw ... :help: ... for his practical views

That would be Leo Ticheli, a prince of a fellow.

In terms of knowledge and willingness to share it, David, hands down. One thing that people don't realize about Mullen is, not only is David the most knowledgeable person on this forum when it comes to cinematography, he is possibly one of THE most knowledgeable people on the subject alive. I remember an article that said David has read (and basically memorized?) every issue of American Cinematographer, cover to cover, going back to the 50s or 60s, and maybe further back. David is a veritable walking encyclopedia of cinematography knowledge.

In terms of entertainment value, karapetkov wins in my book. He's brought a lot of fun and personality to reduser.

Thanks Tom. :)

This place, the people here and all that is happening is very inspiring.

Fun, knowledge and crazy cameras in one place...

If I see a post by Jim or Stuart or David Mullen, ASC I'm reading it immediately.

All posts by RED go without say, but -

What about:
Ian Bloom
Jeff Kilgroe
Brook Willard
(been mentioned, but should be again -) Finner

and anyone with something of substance....

hahaha Elvisetkov you are in the Red Hall of Fame now
