Whats the smallest and cheapest wireless monitor for red epic out there?

I dont need quality picture.. its just for composition, positioning actors etc..

We use the Paralinx Arrow and it works great. Very light on the camera and good reception in most conditions. FXGuide did a nice review on it here:

this one is not Paralinx, but it's good for up to 40-50 feet, and even though it says 1080 it downconverts HDMI signal to 720x480,
not sure if it's the smallest, but it' very light and cheapest for sure;

Do you have experience with that one - meaning, does it actually work as expected? :-)

Tested the Teradek Bolt...

All I can say is that it's really nice. It's a totally different class of gear than their earlier teradek cube.

The bolt is really plug and play. It has a really solid build, no plasitc stuff. The feel is more like a black anodized snickersbar. The picture has no lag and the range is great it broke up when going quite far around the corner of a city building when we had the reciver on the inside of a tripple glass window. So as I see it, if you are in the same studio or even in a the car driving next to the camera car or such you will have cristal clear HD transfers.

We ordered the pro version with two recivers. will put one in our client monitor case and build a little hand held monitor unit with built in bats etc.

Wish red bought license for the same tech or just went to teradek and made a cooperation with a module seated bolt.

yes i have one and it works, as i said up to 40-50 feet line of sight solid signal, but it's SD, and slight overscan on all monitors i have, and about 0.5 sec delay, so at the end i got Paralinx, but I'm keeping this one as a backup, or just in case :)

Yeah...what was up with Teradek Cube...heard a bunch about it...then nothing...did it just not work..at all...?

Bolts a winner. Reliable, locking connections via HDSDI for the video signal and lemo for the power. One transmitter to many receivers. Also a built in battery for those times you need to be crazy compact.

Bolt is excellent.

Good range except in the middle of the city, where it is just ok. But good picture. Fan on the receivers is a tiny bit too loud. Transmitter is good. Runs hot so needs to be mounted without Velcro.
