  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Who shipped their scarlet for a EPIC-X?

They sell a front cap or you can send it in with a mount...Probably safer then rigging something yourself...
 
did it take just the 7 days they say for checking the Scarlet and sending the Epic or was it more than that? I need the new camera back for a certain date...

For me, I sent it in on the 13th and it arrived the 14th. I got my epic on the 31st shipped 2-Day Fedex.
 
I shipped mine on May 14th, Red received it on May 16th, Thursday morning. Cleared the inspection on May 23rd, Red processed the order on the same day and supposed to ship it mid last week.
However, I got an email from my rep that the shipping dates were pushed back a bit.
I need my camera soon so I upgraded the shipping option to Next Day and still waiting to get a tracking number. Hopefully today!

Epic-X trade-in comes with one year warranty since you get a brand new body.

That is one of the reasons I chose Epic-X trade-in over Scarlet-Dragon upgrade (90days warranty).

Use cardboard. Cut out a square that matches that size of the mount area. Then Wrap that cardboard in gaff tape or something solid so pieces wont come off into the sensor. Then tape that piece you cut out to the front. It works fine.



Also i called today and i think standard in the US in 2 day air. Mine is shipping tomorrow and i called and changed it to overnight!

Or if that causes your some stress, you can get the - like - 20 dollar sensor cover. But then you have to wait for that to ship too!
 
Mine shippied via Fedex Standard Overnight yesterday and the estimated delivery is tomorrow.
 
Maybe somebody knows...what would be an estimate for Fedex overnight shipping? I am sending my camera from Venezuela to the US with a friend and I need to give him cash to pay for the delivery. It'd be from Miami to Irvine, CA

I sent mine overnight from NYC for 200 bucks
 
My EPIC showed up today after a bit of a wait... No problems with my Scarlet, but I got it in right as everyone else was sending theirs in. Took just over 2 weeks total.
