  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Where in line are we and how manmy ordered?

You need to sign into RED.com and look at your orders, there is an SO number, it should end with 5XXXX thats the number
 
For those that don't know how to use Google Docs, just throw your number and details at the end of the list and I'll put you (if no one else does) in correct order :)
 
wow that spreadsheet is filling up fast

I wonder how the international orders are handled, I guess they probably still all ship from CA if they were ordered through RED.com, and ones that were ordered through a different RED office would not be part of the same system and queue?

nah its awesome seeing everyone piece it together, hopefully we can keep it nice and neat so its easy for everyone to follow the info...

The chat function is pretty damn useful to...shame its all anonymous users lol I seem to be the only known one :P

Matt Gottshalk if your around, could you revise your number or could Martin Orts please reconfirm yours

You both seem to have the same SO number.... (hopefully not true since that would be very confusing)

I suspect the orders that are currently being placed in are all ordered through RED USA, if there are ones from RED Europe that fit in, then the entire system is one and the same...I'm pretty sure it is though,

The orders depart from USA and get distributed depending on where you ordered from, RED Europe will send it out if you ordered through them but if you ordered through RED USA it will be processed through them (if I'm not wrong)
 
Alan P tells me Red Europe is one and the same system with the US - unified SO numbers, queue positions etc etc. Just the physical logistics that put Europe behind I guess.
 
That formula to figure out when you get your Scarlet is pretty awesome.

Mine is, unfortunately, 130 days. That isn't good :(

Around about 11 days (I rounded up) so 12th is my estimated...I'd plus around (this is personally though) 7 days to that just to be safe...since 12 is the optimistic, 7 days extra for some what realistic and beyond that is...well..."we miscalculated I guess?" region

I noticed thanks to this docs that someone with a higher order number and PL mount as me has been notified for delivery. He is 1225 and I'm 997
more than 220 rows behind and I've even not being asked to place a deposit...
Not good to live in Europe and buy a Red product .... hehe ... But I'm sure as soon as they will receive the Scarlets they will start to Rock on
 
I've added Gavins forumla into the doc for anyone thats curious and doesn't want to do the math themselves...it rounds up btw. I've only done it for all those with Canon Mounts assuming Dec 1st happens.

DO NOT take it seriously though, its just for fun, estimating and all...

Things are subject to change, hence the forumla isn't an exact science.

Taking this to total wickedness - we can calculate, that RED already made approx. 2 Million Dollars ... not Bad ;-)

BTW.... Thanx for the Great Idea with this spreadsheet ... absolutely love it ... and shows, that there are also really constructive and peaceful People in this Forum and not only
these Douche-Bags hittin eachothers Heads over some effen BS ;-)
 
Great idea with the Google Doc. I went to put my name in and it was already there, so I added my accessory orders in there as well. I imagine most of the orders after the 3rd are for accessories.

Heh, well I guess we all know why RED is super happy dishing out these awesome products but also why the competition is taking note!

The forumla though I believe may change very quickly since Jarred did mention a new line being added to the factory and I'm assuming they'll probably put an additional line or two soon...

We don't know how many EPICs are made in that 13 minutes either so it could easily be that RED 4 lanes doing EPICs which means you get 4 EPICs every 13 minutes. So those in the '90+' days could be seeing reduction quite quickly...

Who knows though! Don't take it literally but lets just hope that it turns into 10 EPICs and Scarlets every 13minutes....maybe more...that'd be awesome times for those of us in Stage 3 and those on the backend of the Scarlet line

No problems guys, looking through the various forums for peoples SO numbers etc. so names may already be on there, check before adding (to speed it up just use the find option 'command + f' or I believe 'ctrl + f')
 
The logic behind determining the Scarlet order queue based on SO is wasted if people don't add placeholders for their accessory orders. During the first couple hours there were probably not that many SO#s taken up with accessory orders, but after that I'm sure RED was flooded with accessory orders. You could think you are #4000 based off of the SO# alone, but chances are you are much closer to the front of the line. I have 5 SO# after the 3rd, but I only have 1 Scarlet on order.
 
Remember guys if someone further down the list gets theirs before you, it's not because RED doesn't like you, lol. They most likely already had an open order. Remember open orders get priority for SCARLET's.
