What will RED do with Sensors?

Just a thought ....What will RED do with sensors that get offloaded from the cameras which are upgraded to MX???

And the soon to come "pink" which is a cheapo (1000 USD) mobilphone sized camera which will shoot 6 minutes of 4k to SD cards released from refurbed M sensors....

According to industry commentators CMOS sensors are very cheap to fabricate (mass produce) once the production line is set-up. Perhaps a guide to value is cost of DSLRs with large format sensors. We can't assume that RED does not use mass produced sensors and that it is Red's add on architecture that fine tunes the sensor to motion picture use.

What will happen to those (stage 3 RED's), or will the REDone just continue being sold, and all those exchanged will become MX and go for sale, for who ever does not what an EPIC?
