  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I guess it's about flexibility.

Noone will stop you from using a 1080 signal, even if you can choose to do UHD
 
Is this a tease or are their actual Forged Weapons cameras in people's hands? If so is there a significant number of these cameras out there shooting? If people are getting machines they are not sharing the love on Reduser.

Here are 3 already delivered and in use...

RVZ, OffHollywood and Chris Probst... Others are most likely silently working on MAJOR movies... :)

I'll post mine soon... "ish"... Missed the boat on the Weapon6k... So we'll go strait to 8k Magnesium... But I can't wait for it as Weapon looks so god dam BADASS... :)

Hi Jarred, you where looking into the possibility to get also Proress 4K with Weapon CF and Weapon 8K.
Any news?
I am in the line to get the Weapon 8K (first getting the Weapon CF).

Jarred said that since the Bodies are exactly the same, it should be no problem to do so, however it would cost more... I have no problem with that... I just LOVE Magnesium... Well I also LOVE the CF and really LOVE the FORGED...

To expend on the "costing more" it is my understanding that going from Magnesium 6k instead of CF or Forged Weapon 6k to 8k (aside form those that already paid 10k for it) will cost more because the CF & Forged bodies are already equipped with the necessary Hard ware & Electronics to support the sensor swap to 8k full support, were the Magnesium does not have this, so it will not only be matter of Sensor swap, but also Hard ware 7 Electronics to be upgrades as well, and for this the extra cost vs the CF & Forged...

However since I am not planning an upgrade path but a strait purchase of the Weapon Magnesium 8k, then the price will be what ever it will be, and surely I am also sorry that I missed the Incredibly Generous offering on the 8k upgrade path as well... But shit happens... :)

However what I don't like is to see different colorations skims on my camera, if it could be ALL CF or ALL FORGED then would be different... I know... I am a real pain that way in my "PERFECTIONISM" of things... For the good and the bad of it... I just dislike mix and mach... :)


So yeah, I sure hope that RED will indeed also make Weapon Magnesium 8k... If not I would be VERY disappointed... But I will still buy the Weapon CF or Forged 8k... :)

LOL, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I wish it was a solid camera as well in terms of skin.

I recall the conversation about CF and volcanos and Jarred saying he would make a CF version that was all magnesium if someone wanted. I suspect it would be the same price as the CF version since the major price difference appears to be the electronics inside. That is my interpretation based on the various posts made by Jarred.
