WEAPON Information Summary and Pricing FAQs

LOL....thank you Brent for being straight with us.....I think everyone appreciates that you've really helped put the crystal in clarity;)

Hello Brent ! thanks for the info.
Please can u clarify where in the excel type section is listed this special 2500 extra deal? I can't find it.
Maybe i'm missing something ?
Thanks a lot !

Hi Dario, the extra $2500 isn't listed separately, but can be seen in the 'TRADE-IN CREDIT' column of the 'WEAPON UPGRADE - EPIC/SCARLET DRAGON INVOICED BEFORE APRIL 13, 2015' and 'WEAPON UPGRADE - EPIC/SCARLET DRAGON INVOICED AFTER APRIL 13, 2015' tables. If you compare the amounts in the two 'TRADE-IN CREDIT' columns you can see that there's a $2500 difference between them.

Chris, since I was not expecting a "sweet" as a reply, let me clarify....

The deadline of pre-NAB to get that extra $2500 "trade-in" credit was not extended. Jarred gave plenty of forewarning that people with DRAGON pre-NAB would get an extra chunk of change for that. What is currently still open (that was planned to end lat Thursday) is the $5000 accessory credit for people purchasing new WEAPONs and the all-on one-time payment for 8K sensor upgrade. But that window won't be open for long....

Ok, so not sweet.
$2500 off is only this weekish...

OK, let me try to re-phrase. To get the extra $2500 trade-in credit, you just have to have had a DRAGON before NAB. Does not matter when you order. If you are upgrading, same for the $5000 accessory credit, does not matter when you order.

I am just saying that, for example, if you buy an EPIC DRAGON in a week, you don’t get the “pre-NAB DRAGON ownership” credit of $2500.

Ok, so sweet again... ;)

Thanks Brent. Yes, it does make sense since it's an accessory credit. But I think it would've helped a lot of people out if you went back to the previous offer of being able to apply that credit to the brain upgrade. I was really excited about that one.

I'm planning on going from Epic-X Dragon to Weapon MG.

Dominick, depending on what you are upgrading to, you are getting at least $5000 of accessories at no charge in the upgrade bundle. The price of your upgrade bundle is the same priace as a new camera brain. So, you cannot apply an accessory credit on accessories you are already getting for free.

Sorry for the miscommuncation. The intent of the accessory credit has always been what it is right now. Giving a $5000 cash discount on top of over $5000 worth of accessories - plus trade-in credit - for upgrade bundles is simply not possible.

Hi Brent,

Sorry if I'm an idiot or this has been addressed, but I want to be 100% clear that the discount / upgrade opportunities that are ending this week (?) for our (Pre NAB) Epic-X Dragon is the 10K 8K sensor pre-order price. Otherwise, all other credits and additional accessories are the same?

Thank you very much for all your help untangling the options...

This hasn't been stated yet... please don't put ideas in their heads... (I haven't officially closed on a deal that will get me that upgrade to 8k Weapon. '-)

Correct, although it's not officially over yet, the only thing that will change in your situation is the $10k 8k upgrade price

Correct, if you are an upgrader, the "NAB pricing" for the $10K pre-pay for the 8K is currently still open. For new camera buyers (non-upgraders), the $5000 additional accessory credit is also still open. Both will close sooner than later.

Thanks for all the answers Brent!

Question about OLPFs - will I be able to use my Epic Dragon OLPFs or will I need to purchase new ones? I know the Weapon has a new type of connection so I'm guessing they may be designed a bit differently.

Correct, new and improced swappable system that has smart detection so camera knows what version is installed without user having to select within UI.

Previously it was said the existing ones are usable on the weapon, does that mean they will somehow become quick release with the new "camlock" olpf mount, or will the old ones continue to have to be bolted into place. When upgrading from a dragon, I guess one currently owned olpf is upgraded to this new smart style?

Are the OLPFs released at nab - h20, ir, the new smart style, or those will be replaced as well?

As of right now and as far as I know, they are not interchangable between EPIC/SCARLET and WEAPON. But, yes, the same flavors offered for EPIC/SCARLET will be offered for WEAPON.

Based on some questions we have gotten, added an additonal FAQ specifically on the 8K sensor.

Also, per a request in this thread, updated the pricing matrix to show "out of pocket" cost on each WEAPON option... Under TOTAL PAYMENTS.

Brent, thank you for that. Helpful to see in black and white, even when mostly black ;-)

It was previously stated the OLPFs would work, now your saying they will not.
I guess we should not order any more of the new OLPFS like the H20 and IR if we are upgrading to weapon, or will they be exchanged for the new style OLPF?

Good question actually. Will try to get some clarity on the OLPF situation for upgrades and compatibility information.
