Thanks

The bomb squad told me I could be able to send my Weapon Dragon for the Helium update. For people who already sent it, how long approximatively does Red keep the camera for the update? I need to know for my future shootings.

If someone knows how long it takes for having the new camera!

Thanks guys ;)

They typically estimate 7 to 10 days. It really all depends on how many send in at once. In my case, it matched their estimated timeline. You also need to factor in shipping time. I sent mine FedEx overnight and I think they do the same thing in return. I forget, it's been over a year.

And most importantly, congratulations!

If the list is anything to go by, looks like I'm next!

Thank you Stacey! 2 weeks could be perfect, between two shootings.

About the queue, the bomb squad told be I will be called soon but not yet. I applied to Helium in October 2016, a few minutes after the announcement. I think my timestamp is based on that.

I got skipped too.

Even Helium sensor access seems to have slowed down... are the fabricators on Spring Break? '-)

Judging by the activity over on Facebook and such, seems like red is
Busting their ass getting cameras out. The upgrade process is always a little tricky. Just super happy that upgrade paths exist!

I can honestly say that if Red did not have their upgrade program, I would not have the camera that I have today.

I think there is just some confusion. Sounds like Etienne might have been contacted for an order from 2016 and not for the VV queue.

That's right, I didn't choose the VV sensor when I bought my Weapon CF but I applied to the Helium in October.

Maybe it's time to rename the thread to "NAB15 VV-Upgrade program Queue" or alike. This will avoid many confusions by new buyers; the second line of 8K, Helium; etc... :-)

Heh, yeah... when the thread was started there were no alternatives. Just 8k vV. Things have both stayed the same (the waiting line has hardly moved'-) and yet has really changed (DXL vV and Helium 8k) in the last two years.

where do you get the list? I have no idea where I stand

Wish we had a better idea where the VV upgrades stand. I'm finding myself in a situation where I'm not using my camera much these days. Got the Helium 8K upgrade in December and I don't think I've put 50 hours on the camera since then. Trying to decide if it would be better for me to put it on consigned rental somewhere or just sell it, then pick up a new camera when other projects calm down. I've mentioned this to a few different people and the first thing everyone wants to know, before they decide if they're interested or not, is when it will get the VV upgrade. I could just sit on the camera, as I've been doing for 5 months now. With the scarcity of the VV units out there, I'd like to get it out in the world working, whether I still own it or not. ...since these are in such short supply.
