  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

viewing Anamorphic in camera on Dragon is different than on Epic?:(

Some people would probably like the record 6K full frame with a 2X anamorphic squeeze, crop later, but be able to desqueeze the viewfinder image independently (maybe that's already an option.)

I would also suggest support for 1.33x (Hawk lenses?) and 1.5x (Iscorama) squeeze factors. Honestly I don't see cropping in post being that big an issue, I think the viewfinder should be the top priority.

the good thing about in camera cropping is, as your are recording less of the sensor, you should therefore should be able to use lower compression/ higher frame rates.

There is currently 1.3x ana modes in the firmware and those should show up much better in the viewfinder than the 2x ana modes.

Select 4K resolution with the aspect ratio 5:4... then enable 2x anamorphic mode. That's 6K ANA.

But christopher that only gives you a hight of 3072 pixels in hight not the full 3160... I know only 100 pixels but still, really want to max out on the sensor now when having it.

So is it not possible to get the full sensor hight and 2,40:1 Ana X2?

Would love to see the above on the full width monitor but record 6kFF on mag. Or have the option to record with lower compresison if the "pillar box" is not recorded.
