This thread mutates to a Samuel Beckett Play...Oh, oh, Impero, Inclino, everyday I´m missing you. I like the names of the products, SF like.
Keep on tracking!
Anybody checked out which thread made it into Guinness records?

Marc

BTW I was waiting so often in my life for the right light. The results were always worth it.

Jay A Kelley ... any inside info ?

Jay A Kelley ... any inside info ?

I am currently workinig on a video that explains Impero operation for the Birger Mount.

Hope to have it in one week

Hi Jay,

You seem to be close to the VF Guys and have inside info and actually have an Impero, So can you let the rest of us into what going on at the monent at VF.

I would love to hear even a two line update. I don't need a date for delivery, just an idea of whats being worked on now.

Thanks for you help !

Cheers, Tim.

Still making parts. The external antenna was something that had to be done to get the range up to 100-150ft. Without that the range is around 50ft. Indoors its closer to 25ft. This will give you guys much more buffer in everyday use. Unfortunately its another unexpected expense on our side - the blue tooth radio is more expensive than the zigbee was and the addition of the antenna, antenna connector, and three plastic parts + tooling really skewed things. We are going as fast as we can and trying to get as much stuff done as possible while waiting on these parts. John and Will have been assembling motors and at last count we are around 180 inclinos assembled and ready for code to be dumped. I'll let you guys know as soon as we get parts in hand... once we get these we expect to ship a majority of the orders over the course of a few days.

Thanks Curt. In anticipation, is there any manual or video that will show us how to use these things that we can access now? As I get closer to my next film day (May 2nd) the time after receiving these to train on them is getting compressed. Thanks

Bear with us as our phone and internet had been on the fritz. We will have our new website online in a couple of weeks and will be posting tutorial videos in the next few days. Getting lead times from injection molding company as we speak.

Do you think it's going to take long to assemble the Imperos once you get the parts in, or should it only be 10-20 minutes each?

Ok, Just got out from behind the desk and did some range testing with a couple mockup receivers and controllers in the parking lot (its a bit chilly out there). It looks like the range is upwards of 175' but I feel confident rating it to at least 150'. The new 1/4 wave antennas and RP-SMA connectors are doing an amazing job of increasing the range. My test setup was basically a motor with a laser attached to its gear... it was clamped to a C-Stand and pointed at a building about 500' away. I was able to walk away from the receiver while maintaining smooth control of the laser - no jumps hiccups. It drops off the connection after 180' or so but hopefully that will satisfy those of you who wanted better range. I'll give another update tomorrow regarding the plastics. Here's what the receiver is going to look like btw...

GREAT!!! I think you guys are amazing and can't wait to see this in real life.

When, when, when????

Thanks Curt!
150'/175' -> 45/53meters that's enough, I don't know any focus puller that works 5 meters from camera!

Curt, I was one of those saying that the smaller range was enough to suite me. However, your getting this done in a week or two is impressive. Thanks for taking a little extra time to do this.
