  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

VFS Inclino, Imperio, Origo News ??

I'm in the final 1/4 of my Full length feature and plan to put it through its paces starting this weekend. It'll be nice to finally attempt the type of shots I've been wanting to do so badly throughout the shoot.

EDIT** I just realized I'm talking like it's on its way. I meant to say I'll put it through its paces after I get it. :biggrin:

I'm learning not to be TOO optimistic.

Are you in the first 10 or no?
 
Does sound like Curt could use a few weeks of non stop testing so we have a solid product when it ships.

No point sending out a product that doesn't work as expected and have angry customers having to send them back.

I've waited almost a year since I handed over my cash and don't have a problem with waiting a little longer to get a solid reliable product that works out of the box.

Curt has personally promised me that I'd have it in my hands by Thursday. I'll be VERY disappointed if he fails to deliver on that promise.
 
I sure hope so. My shoot depends on it :-) Curt told me this last week btw.

Sorry Tony... Get used to it.. VF hasn't been playing fair enough with us;

07/01/2008 -- We are sticking to the mid-august ship date because I've been burned by our suppliers estimates before.


07/01/2008 -- Impero and Inclino are shipping in Mid-August, new orders will likely be mis September.

07/30/2008 -- We're trying to get that info along with expected ship dates this week

08/08/2008 -- As for schedule, we are slipping a bit but I'm trying to still get these starting shipping this month.

09/22/2008 -- We should have them by Saturday. I am so excited about getting these assembled & shipping I'm going crazy.

10/24/2008 -- we can kick out 10-20 units for final testing early next week.

11/10/2008 -- We expect to be building up anywhere from 50 to 100 units per week so the backlog should disappear by the middle of December.

11/17/2008 -- We are going to be attempting to do 50 per week. My personal goal is to clear out the entire backlog by Christmas... thats a lot of motors

11/20/2008 -- I know I promised this week. All in all I'm feeling pretty good about things, I think it will be Monday instead of Friday though.

11/27/2008 -- first 10 units are going out on Tuesday now and al remaining orders will be shipped by the end of December.

12/02/2008 -- So its a no-go for today but we will have thermal interface material in the morning and we should be able to do tomorrow.

12/09/2008 -- Units are going out tomorrow....

12/12/2008 -- We shipped a couple units out today.

12/17/2008 -- I'm extremely close to finalizing the USB flash drive firmware update code. It should be done tomorrow. We will be shipping the remainder of the first ten units Friday.

12/23/2008 -- we can start shipping units right after christmas day

01/01/2009 -- VF decided -- will no longer put updates here on Reduser.

01/14/2009 -- we are delayed another day. We'll have tracking numbers out tomorrow

01/15/2008 -- We shipped one non-wireless unit today

01/16/2009 -- All 10 units will be on their way to their new homes on Monday... Finally.

Today is 01/21/2009 --- still foul play
 
Kwan - maybe you need to get over it. I think we all get the point that you're pissed with Viewfactor. You're now starting to become annoying. And repetitive.

If you spent over $2000 (VF) + $3200 (for rental - other FF) and have above unexpectedly false excuses everyday (today or tomorrow) and (repetitive) we still don't have any solution... you damn sure will become....

I don't think VF is trying to screw anyone over, or take anyone's money but false promises will really making my budget upsets by the day...

And thanks for great reminder.. No heart feeling... please just keep your thinking yourself ...

Thursday? As in tomorrow? And they haven't given us an update since last Friday. They supposedly shipped this Monday. I somehow doubt it.

One of the most valuable aspects of RedUser is the feedback about products and suppliers.

I don't find Kwan's posts annoying and they are no more repetitive than View Factor's optimistic projections.

There can be no doubt that things have not gone the way View Factor wished and certainly not the way those who paid in full after being promised a reasonable delivery expected.

I no longer have a dog in this hunt, having requested and promptly received a full refund, but I could be a future customer and others here need to know all the facts about this.

I can't see how View Factor or the readers of this thread are injured parties.
