Curt,
How close are we? I need to make an educated decision on the wait rather than continueing to just hope there's a shipping date near.

We have the bluetooth firmware update functionality working on the receiver and transmitter now... so we can at least upgrade these initial units while in the field. The bluetooth took a little work to get finalized... I'm about 90% done with transferring everything over to the new serial protocols. Birger mount integration is at about the same point. I have everything talking back and forth so you can run an Inclino/Impero wired or wireless as well as a Birger/Impero wired or wireless. I must say that using the wireless with Bluetooth is heads and shoulders above what we had before... it speeds up development because I can debug multiple devices at once and dump new firmware onto them in a couple seconds.

I have written about 25 pages of additional code since Monday to deal with the bluetooth and I'm modifying the last sections that deal with motor calibration, auto positions and slave motor functions. The biggest hurdle is going to be dealing with multiple receivers at one time... Zigbee made things easy but bluetooth has some nuances that are tricky. For now I'm using a configuration file off the usb drive to dictate what links to what but id like to come up with a better solution for the remainder of the orders shipping at the end of the month.

Once again.. sorry for the delays, I'm optimistic that all of the program modifications will be completed by tomorrow evening or Sunday. If that works out then we will get these out on Monday.

Fantasticoooooooooooooooo!

Hey Curt, can we see some videos soon? Thanks for the update
Well , if you had come by the shop like you said then you would have seen it in person ;) I've been up for about 36 hours straight (not including a few 15 minute cat naps) so I'm not in the best frame of mind to do a video... I'll make sure we get one up this weekend as I would really like you all to see this... I am so happy to see stuff working well and getting ready to go out the door.

D'oh! I tried to make it there but was stuck in that river of traffic and didn't have time. I will have to bug you guys next week and bring my camera.

Curt, I will drop by next week - Lim

No offense...but it's not the time for posting video. Concentrate on what you have to do first. Until everything is correct and done..you can post the video. We have full trust in you.

Richard, you should shoot the video my brother... loved the ET Mantis Video that you posted awhile back. :)

BTW, it was great to talk to you Curt the other week, I got what I needed--thank you! Once you are rolling, I cannot wait to see what you have in terms of a "Super Grip" and or an EFP/ENG rocker deal to use in conjunction with my zooms and your motor. That and an ET Mantis is my idea of single OP Nirvana.:innocent:

We are going to be going full speed on the grip and a few other goodies as soon as the imperos and Inclinos are rolling on full production (by the end of the month). The grip is going to have interchangeable mounting options so you can use it on the Mantis and other shoulder handheld systems. It will have FIZ control , microforce style joystick(zoom/iris), TBD micro-rotary input device(focus), 4 user preset positions, full wireless control (two c cell batteries in the grip), and a single 4 -pin connector for wired operation. Like Impero multiple units can be used at the same time so you can run two grips and have one set to zoom and the other to iris/focus etc. Now back to my dungeon to finish programming.

Yes... it is the ultimate quest of Inclino, Imperio and dungeons

tumble weed
Funny.

We shipped out a few units to some locals just for quick feedback on the new setup... initial reactions have been great. The Impero-Birger combo seems to work really well - latency is nill and the resolution is wonderful. We have a few Imperos/Birger combos out with some great DPs, I'd expect to see some cool posts relating to this soon.

We need to check a few things before mass exodus and full scale shipping:

1) Range on the newest Class 1 modules that I received a few days ago... they are supposed to be good up to 394 feet but I'd be happy if they go to even 200 ft. Current Class 2 modules seem to be good up to around 30 feet reliably.

2) Error recovery when a connection is lost.

3) Low battery indication. I totally forgot this and luckily some people reminded me that it would be nice to have.

Assuming all that goes well I'd expect to have fully functioning units to the first 30-ish customers next week. Please be patient with us, we are going to make this happen.

BTW.. shipping this out today to one lucky customer... Others to follow tomorrow.

Congrats! I envy the first receiver... It looks really good. Looking forward to receiving my unit!

Curt, Is there anyway you can still honor the same price on 2 more inclinos for those of us that are paid in full since day one? I really like the entire set with case.
