  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Upgrade Paths

I know Jarred and the RED team tried to think of everybody's situation, but I think I can't join the joy of everyone today. Been a RED customer since 2011, in July I upgraded my Epic-M Dragon to Weapon MG Dragon for ~14k (+ included cool accessories package) because Dragon is what I want and DSMC2 is the future.

But since I haven't taken delivery of it before today (been waiting for 4 months), I understand that the upgrade won't happen and I'll be refunded. My new option to DSMC2 Dragon is now Weapon 6K at the price of 34,5k + prices of accessories that were included. I know it's now CF but the price difference is quite a lot for me.

Am I missing something ?
 
What about the people who were waiting on Weapon upgrade?
I dropped my deposit 5K for weapon mg upgrade back when there was accessory credit offered. I tried to send my camera many times to upgrade to Weapon mg this year, but my rep kept telling me to hold on to it, so I did. Now this upgrade. Not so great news for the people with Epic Dragon. I know you cant please everyone, so that is fine, but do I get to move my deposit 5K to new Epic-W upgrade? (Weapon 8K is a bit too much for upgrade). Also is my accessory credit valid? I think back then, Weapon MG was going to come with bunch of other things like sidekick and back ports etc. I don't know if that still applies to Epic-W if I change it. I assume not?
Anyone knows the answer for these?
 
Hope I'm not repeating a question here... but If I purchased my weapon mg through a 3rd party (abelcine), how do I get my serial number to be recognized so I can do the upgrade?
 
Just put 15k down for Mg upgrade to weapon 8k helium! Woohoo! Only question I have is I remember Brent mentioning this path came with a mount media bay and sidekick, but it wasn't listed under included in the store. Did that change?

Since you have an outstanding WEAPON Mg upgrade that was never performed, your EPIC is considered "executed." Therefore, you have to contact your rep to cancel that and move to a new upgrade offering.
 
And clarification on the financing...

even if you are a couple months down the road on receiving Epic-W, the special financing is available? And the 12 months begins when you are allocated and invoke the "payment" from the lender?

(I am anticipating a wait simply by the frenzy going on here. LOL)

Hi Sam, I have the same question. I'm not sure the mount was included in previous threads, but I did expect the side ssd and sidekick. I'd like to get the CF mini mag side module ordered if its not included.
 
Jarred, I remember you mention Weapon Helium 8k upgrade comes with a PL mount and a SIDEKICK but I noticed its not listed as part of what is included in the package. Has it been reversed or its still part of your generous offer? :)
 
Is the magnesium upgrade offer valid until dec 31st? I believe jarred said that earlier....
 
Yeah this is what I was referring to. A little confused. Just wanted a little clarification. I think comment was on 9/27/16 so maybe things changed.
