  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Upgrade Paths

I've done it before when I sent my camera in for service. Cut a piece of cardboard to the size of the lens mount and then use gaffer tape to hold it in place.
 
I think I saw Jarred confirm this, but want to make sure. Will I be allocated before Scarlet-W owners with camera IN THEIR HANDS NOW?

Is the list of allocations of S-W to E-W buyers start with the next person on deck for an S-W, or does it start back with the original line? Hope that makes sense.

Don't want to come off as griping, by no means, but that would be a real bummer if the guys out there that have had S-Ws in hand shooting get to bump right back up to the front by sending their camera in for and E-W swap while guys like me have been waiting since January to get a camera in my hands.

Just curious. I'm thankful for all of this. Truly. Just want the assurance that the long wait is coming close to an end for me. Thank you.

I own a Carbon Weapon Serial # 323. I put in a deposit for upgrade at NAB 2015 for the Weapon and still have not had a chance to upgrade since the lee times have always been over a month for me. I would love to upgrade my deposit and go straight to Weapon 8k S35. I have tried to contact my rep and do this online but it keeps saying my camera is not eligible. What would be my best route to keep the NAB 2015 package pricing but just pay the additional price for 8k S35. I just want to get a new camera in my hands as soon as possible. Please let me know the best route.

If you got your order in then you will take priority.

There will always be people that work around the system and get cameras quicker though, For example Dealers that also had deposits in received a ton of cameras yesterday, and they can of course turn around sell those to anyone immediately in line or not.. that is their business.

There is also a revolving inventory now... and yesterday was so insane we literally couldn't get all the cameras that were ready to ship onto all the Fedex trucks. just because you didn't get allocated yesterday doesn't mean you are not going to get allocated today or tomorrow... we are building cameras non-stop .

How fast are these babies getting across the pond? :D I am so anxious to get my Weapon Helium in my hands :D
 
Hi Jarred! Do you know how the Weapon MG to Weapon Helium upgrade allocations are going? Wondering if I'll be able to send my cam in this week.
 
I e-mailed my rep asking for the 0% financing. Haven't heard back at all (Dec 10 order). I'm guessing they are taking a snowball approach and getting quicker/easier orders out first and then they'll get to us that want to go that route.

Like you, I'm in no hurry so I'm not complaining, just responding.
