  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tom Lowe...

Thanks, Ketch. You are a BOSS.

And thanks, Matt.

Congratulations Tom (seems like an understatement)...I am NOW planing my next trip through Palm Springs...haha!

Awesome, Larry. The Gebhardt Suite is awaiting you.

I think I'm missing some kind of riser for that handle. Ketch had something to raise the handle up a bit. I think it's going to be about a week before I can get my hands on a DSMC top handle.

Also, if you use a setup like the ET Hybrid rail system (mine is 19mm), you need to order an adapter for the bottom of the camera. The Epic has two 3/8" taps, but they are only 25mm apart. ET has the adapters in stock now. Mine arrives today.

Hi Tom!

WoooW...Congratulations!!!
Been touch on Epic-M, super love this little baby, mine still far away,
will only be come true while in deep sweet dream....

So, when will you bring yours to Mainland China? I am waiting... Haha

Cheers

Screw the camera, I want to live where you shoot. Beautiful scenery. Seriously though, look forward to seeing more stills and footage over the coming months Tom. Congratulations.

Congrats Tom! This must be amazingly exciting for you. From the first timelapse you posted I've looked forward to your work ever since. I can't wait to see what you do with Epic. Best of luck!

On a side note... I can't believe that I may have one of these babies in my hands by summer! So cool!

Cheers,

Omar

Here is a photo of my assistant Dr. Kanab filming on the M yesterday. Needless to say, he was very stoked.

There will be in the not-too-distant future, I think.

Wow Tom this is great, congrats!

Out at the Palm Springs wind turbines last night.

I have an idea now to put together a nice little 60-second Epic footage video for Vimeo... I just need the weather to cooperate for a couple of days.

Sounds awesome! I can't wait to see what you've been shooting, if anyone is going to make Epic look EPIC it's you!

Two behind-the scenes shots from Salton Sea today. I'm addicted to shooting at 96fps.

Tom that first one would make a great cover for a romantic novel about a guy that married his camera. ;)

Jokes aside, that is a great shot Dr. Kanab!

see what I mean? Even the pics of you shooting with the Epic are EPIC!

It was a beautiful, beautiful morning out at Salton Sea with Epic M. Everything was shot 96fps full sensor. It was a thing of beauty.

Right now I'm just waiting on some beta software from Adobe to handle these Epic files in Premiere, then I am going to cut a short sample film and post it at Vimeo. I might even post a direct 4K download link if anyone is interested?!

I'll certainly take you up on that! Thanks for being so willing and taking so much time to share all of this!
