  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tim Daust: "Haley at the Mill" RED KOMODO 6K TEST FOOTAGE

He used IRND, is it necessary with this sensor?

Tokina Pro IRND's are full spectrum NDs. They don't actually cut out IR entirely, they suppress it the same amount as other wavelengths. Which means you shouldn't have any funky colors happening because of the crossover point in your sensor's IR cut and the filter's. As far as I'm aware, there's no reason not to use these types of IRND over regular ND's even when there's a good IR cut in place on the sensor.

Resolve doesn't seem to recognize those files for some reason. they don't show up in the media page.

Update to 16.2.3

Just having a look -

Thanks for the frame-grabs Tim.

Jae,

Thanks! I just use ACEScct with a SRGB ODT(Output Display Transform) and the usual grading tools. Nothing really special. I didn't use any noise, but I may have to look into doing that, I see a lot of people doing it.
