  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tilta Nucleus Nano available for PreOrder $229.

Looks like another Tilta preorder that is running behind... Anyone see one of these yet?
 
I have received a notification last week that the Order is being processed now (Amount deducted from my credit card).
However, i haven't received the Shipping notification yet!

Interesting, I ordered on 11/2. Pre-order 7654. What was your number Note? I still have received no notifications regarding mine being in the queue for shipment, just says at a future date in my account on the website.

Steve, FWIW, I pre-ordered 11/5..... I spoke with Juan at Tilta last week and he said maybe early to mid January.
 
Received my unit just now.

Comes in a very good case that can accommodate the unit and all accessories.

Torque seems to be good enough for Focus gear (Tried with Tokina 11-20mm T2.9).
However torque doesn't seems to be adequate for Zoom ring. Couldn't even calibrate...

These are my initial tests only... Still need to play around with this.
For $229 i feel this is amazing in value.

Hope you had a good holiday season. Looks like your order is up next in wave. We just shipped out a 100 orders and last left off on order number 7650. You order will be charged soon and a tracking number will be provided a few days later. We will be out of the office until the 2nd.

So my 7689 order number missed by 39 places. Sounds like early January.

I recently bought a new extra wide gear wheel for a arri motor... It cost twice as much. :)

Tilta is tilting the industry for sure.
 
Wasn't a big fan of the Nucleus and I think Tilta is a bit shady but for $230 with free shipping? This is practically free. Why not have one as an emergency backup? Even if mine doesn't ship until Dec '19 LOL

Just got mine. Threw it on the alexia mini powered through a port I have that gives 5v 1A, so about 1/2 power to the motor vs powering with 14v. Anyway, it works great on lenses that don't have resistance. I have some stiffer cine lenses and it can't keep up at all. More testing to come...

PS where can i get the cable that has full 14v p-tap to micro USB?

Thanks for the update, I'm 7672 so I guess I'll be in the next batch.

Also I imagine unregulated d-tap to microusb cables are very hard to come by given that they will kill 99% of usb devices as nearly all expect regulated 5v input... I assume tilta will come out with one or you'd have to get a custom one.
