Hi Rand,

I had just gotten used to the color managed (legacy) workflow and now we have some new options in 17. Is there an in depth tutorial you know of that explains the "DRT", graphics white level, and different output mapping options? I'd like to know the most 'correct-ish' and professional workflow.
I don't favor the IPP2 tone mapping (soft, very soft) , doesn't look right to me on skin tones. Resolve's luminance mapping is a better starting point for my taste.

Here is a tutorial that I really like and has gotten me better results (especially in highlights): https://www.provideocoalition.com/solutions-to-resolve-5-taming-color-management-part-1/

Liam,

Here's all the ways I found to develop a Red Raw file with the new Color Management Workflows in Resolve 17. I don't think anyone really ever used Soft / Very Soft. Maybe try Medium/ Soft or High/ Very Soft with images with very little contrast.

Thanks Rand, those are very informative resources. I’m still getting vastly different results with all the different mapping options. Going to play around with it more this week.
