  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Awesome things coming up... But how is the production of the Scarlet-W going? All my rep says is that I should switch Epic-W to have my camera soon. Don't have the money for that, so I'm also curious about how it will be for the ones who stay with their Scarlet-W.
 
I can tell you it won't be midnight PT. I am going to need a little sleep as to what should be one of the most exciting days for RED...

If you are RAVEN deposit guy, same price as SCARLET-W deposit guy top get into EPIC-W. If you have a RAVEN, you are, obviously, paying more for an EPIC-W than a guy with a SCARLET-W….

Enjoying max setting (40 posts per page) from day one.

Obviously lower values are easier for the servers and bandwith consumption... especially when reduser starts getting busy like it is right now and well into october and most probably for the following 500 years seeing how RED is headed...

Impressive thread interaction, out of this world features on upcoming helium cameras / upgrade paths for everyone + everything else RED team as a whole is creating is crazy !

Good idea to have them all take a quick break before oct 11's maelstrom.

As you can imagine, we won't know until orders start coming in. If a ton of folks switch from SCARLET-W to EPIC-W, then the line is a lot shorter. If not, it stays long. And vice versa, for EPIC-W.

I think, for the majority of folks, all things being equal, EPIC-W is going to be the shorter path....
 
Been shooting all day so I missed all the fun! Now I gotta decide should I place a deposit for a SW or just upgrade from my Raven man I love you guys!
 
Huge thanks to Jarred and Brent for all the upgrade details released so far! I asked this a while back but will there be a Weapon Mg to Weapon CF board upgrade option offered on the 11th? 4K Prores for Weapon Mg without switching sensors would be a tempting option.
 
Corey, there is a path for WEAPON Mg to get into EPIC-W or WEAPON HELIUM 8K, yes. The latter being a killer deal. Better than the old "new boards" deal...
 
How are you going to handle priority of helium upgrades?

Are you going to do it by camera like you had in the past where Epic-M got priority than Epic-X etc, so this case CF Weapon would go first, then Mg Weapon, etc. Or is it going to be mixed and purely based on timestamp?

Of course, my main question was actually: how is the production going of the Scarlet-W? Better and better?
 
Brent, I have tried to pay close attention, but I don't think this has been asked yet. Does the new financing plan just apply to Scarlet-W buyers or also Scarlet-W buyers that are upgrading to the Epic-W? Sorry if that has already been explained and I missed it.

We are aiming to make things a little more simple this time around.
