  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just a question...can I record 8K but only in pro res delivered in 2k so that will keep the fov of the 8K but downscaled internally?

You can do that now for 6K. And from the latest greatest tease we know you can do it in 4K. So I don't see any reason you can't do 8K -> 2K ProRes :)

Red is doing pretty well. So, let's say there was another company. What about the unrealistically low delivery expectations of companies that feel self entitled to your money or respect, who may want, for instance, to delver you a vhs level 1560x1400 6-bit camera. Now, if such a company is not worthy of respect, why should any well to do company giving subpar product be entitle to lots of more respect? So respect cuts both ways. We should appreciate good effort and they should give good effort. Red and you know who, are some of the few cinema camera companies that give genuinely good effort.

There maybe a bit further to go on the low end, but nobody else is doing it much.
