  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Does this mean that I would send my Weapon MG in to have the 6k Dragon sensor swapped-out for an 8k Helium sensor...or...does it mean that I send in my Weapon MG to trade-in for a whole different Brain with 8k Helium sensor (CF body? Faster processing boards? etc? What specs?)

Love my Scarlet X, ... just hard to fathom how much I'm gonna love the Epic 8k Helium !

this was the main reason I switched from raven to s-w in the first place.. that and the OLPF/Lens Mount options..

I say just not yet. We are all seeing the offers without considering the net QUEUE effect. Ordered my 1st Raven on Sept. 27th 2015 and got allocated in July 20th. That's a 10 month queue and the buzz and demand isn't even half as high as Oct.11th. Imagine the MASSIVE influx of orders that RED is about to receive. I say muscle up another 1k for S-W deposit and only sell when you receive the E-W

Well, you were right. Try to do something nice for people who have been awaiting their cameras, and people who already got them are complaining because they already have their cameras...

Ah well. Even if I'm not able to take advantage of the upgrade opportunity right now, I'm impressed. You don't see this sort of customer commitment often.

Ya guys this is true. You knew it going into it. Others opted to pay more for that opportunity, you opted out.

Well, that's why even though I was tempted by the Raven, I didn't bite... but Scarlet-W hit the spot. :)
 
Question, for us Weapon MG owners we have until Dec 31st to put a deposit/get in line for the Epic W upgrade or it has to be upgraded by then?

It's a pretty sweet deal for just shy of $10k, but since I sunk all my savings in May for the MG-definitely won't have enough saved for the Epic W upgrade in 2.5 weeks. The end of the year is another story though!

This is great news (I mean speculation ;)
But I am still not sure the math is correct LOL
I have Scarlet MX, Raven and Raven on order
If I use Scarlet Mx (just brain?) I can add 17500 and own Epic W (at the end of a long queue I suspect)
If I switch Raven order to Scarlet W - $10K for Scarlet W plus $10K upgrade - $20K Epic W
Retail cost of Epic W listed at $30K and it will be able to shoot 8K S35 at 24fps
So like who in their right mind would not drink the Epic W koolaid?
And will the queue be so long we have another 10 choices before it gets fulfilled? LOL (sorry)

just the deposit by december 31st. Dealers or direct. Just get your deposits in as soon as you can to stick your flag in the sand.

Having been doing a fair bit of shooting with a Scarlet Dragon (thanks to Red's kindness), I'm quite certain that I'll be happy with a Scarlet-W, but Red's offering a rather sweet deal. I just may not be able to swing it in time... unless the drunken payment plan becomes an option ;)
 
Can you give us an idea of deposit to magnesium to weapon helium so I can add to my red acct?

You will have a path to WEAPON DRAGON 6K or WEAPON HELIUM as of Oct. It will be a different one than the one currently on the table. HOWEVER, if you have a deposit in on the current upgrade path to WEAPON DRAGON 6K, we will honor that post-Oct 11.

Jarred and Brent, you guys ROCK! As much as I love my Epic MX, looks like I will be trading her in for an Epic W.
