  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Brain for Brain. Accessory deals are only part of our "normal" upgrade program. This isn't normal.

If it's 14K or 15K, that's great, I'd be happy to wait till Oct 11.
Please give us Epic Dragon owners another hint so we can figure out our options.. Because one update stops at Oct 11, and another one starts on Oct 11.

Sounds like you are going to be happy waiting. EPIC DRAGON folks will have nice paths to both EPIC-W and WEAPON HELIUM...
 
I can't believe it. I am doing my third upgrade at the moment. RED ONE to Epic-X to Epic Dragon to Weapon MG. And I am already saving money for the jump to Weapon Helium 8K.

It`s a great journey. Not possible with Canon, Sony or ARRI.

I'm guessing you have marketing people from Arri, Canon, Sony all watching these forums, especially this thread like crazy. The problem is, even with them watching, they are still trying to play catch up. With them just releasing 4K cameras, which RED did so many moons ago, I wonder how long it's going to take them to get to 8K. Glad I bleed RED.

i thought LAST year was the year of RED.. this year is going to be very very very interesting

There is a treasure hunt of info in this insane 200 page thread so can I sum up what we know so far?

Specs and Pricing:

Weapon Helium = Same specs as Stormtrooper 8K but Black instead of White. 8k slightly bigger than S35, 8k 60fps frame rate. $49,000 new

Epic W = 8K S35 unknown sensor size, unknown frame rate. I assume 8K at 24fps at lower bitrate than Weapon . I hope same frame rates and bitrate at 6K as Weapon MG Dragon 6k. $30,000 new

Upgrade Options:

Epic Dragon / Scarlet Dragon / Epic-MX / Scarlet-MX / Red One = $17,500 Upgrade to Epic-W

Scarlet-W already delivered or deposit = $10,000 Upgrade to Epic - W

Weapon MG = $9500 Upgrade to Epic - W or $15,000 upgrade to Weapon Healium

Carbon Weapon 6k owners = $6000(?) Upgrade to Weapon Helium

Carbon Weapon 6K owners with Dragon VV deposit = $0 upgrade to Helium 8K

This is amazing even RED One is given a option.
I know what you guy's are doing is crazy and most company's would rather not do things like you guys but dammn.
This is brand bonding. I'm probably getting a nice RED skull tattoo after upgrading. Or is that copyright protected:crazy:?

Amazing what you are doing for the whole community.

So if I'm reading this right, DSMC1 upgraders get first priority for Epic-W. Then...?

Thought I was done playing this game after figuring out my place in the S-W queue. Haha here we go again!!!
